I ordered the meatloaf w/gravy but instead gravy on the side rice was cold and the meatloaf was greasy they could have least drained the grease off the plate before they send it out like that the Mac and cheese was burnt I send it back they still send it right back to me like that if I have to send food back my intentions is I want be back

I used to eat here when I lived in Augusta years ago. I guess things have changed. My family came here for lunch after my sister’s graduation. It was pretty packed and we didn’t mind waiting. The sign said “Please wait to be seated”. There wasn’t much standing room. So my family and I stood off to the side as best we could. Then an older woman came from the back and sternly told us to move from near the door. Since there was no other place to stand, we just left. We won’t be back.

Absolutely loved it. Remember the scene in Ratatouille where the guy remembers his entire childhood from a bite of food?That is this restaurant. I've never experienced anything like it. I was transported hundreds of miles away to my grandmother's kitchen. It was a perfect meal.

7 of us stopped here for lunch after our morning bike ride on the NA Greeneway. Turned out to be a wise decision. Being lent season, we ordered the fried flounder plate & a veggies plate. The flounder pieces were large, light & crunchy - just perfect. The sides were really good, but our favorites were okra & tomatoes, butter beans, green beans, & mac-n-cheese. Service was fine. We were the first customers, but it quickly filled up. Plenty street parking. We will definitely return.

Okay so let's start off with this was my first time at this restaurant ..I did online order ..order wasn't ready and had to wait an additional 30 minutes..I ordered roast beef ..cabbage..candied yams..let's just say I ordered the wrong meal ?..The meal was underseaoned as a whole . The beef was tender thankfully.. the cabbage tasted like it had sugar in it ?. Who puts sugar.in cabbage. The yams were not good .tasted like they were from the can ..I didn't even finish my meal ..complete waste of money for me .?? THE SEASONING YOU SEE ON MY FOOD WAS ADDED BY ME WHEN I GOT HOME ???

Before today it had been a while since I visited. It will probably be another long while before I visit again. I did enjoy the smothered chicken but that was it. I had to send back my sides. The waitress was very nice.
This was my first time eating here, and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. The food was awesome hot, and our order was to us in a timely manner. I will definitely go back there!!!

I came in and I was not greeted with a good welcome, that is okay. However, I sat in the establishment never acknowledged me as I sat in the booth. After 10 minutes of waiting and never getting a cup of water, I left. I was walked by at least on two occasions. I don't complain about little things. Just acknowledge me and I will be patient.
