Bay-bee.... Big Mama's is it!!!! My child lives in Augusta and wanted a home cooked meal. This was a referral and I was overly pleased. Note- I am NOT a huge fan of soul food but ate every single bit of my food!! Prices are reasonable. Food was seasoned well. No complaints.

First time visit the Lima beans tasted like a box of salt I wasn’t the only customer complaining the bake chicken under cooked had to finish cooking it at home also another customer was complaining about the chicken under cooked never served food you would not eat advised Big Mama to train her staff to cook food for customers not how the cook at home your staff will raise customers blood pressure and send them to the emergency room due to under cooked food. The staff was nice but the food wasn’t edible at all please. Big Mama I’m trying to help you again I wasn’t the only customer complaining about the same exact problem with your food.

Big Mama's food is always good, and they give you large portions for your money, though pricing has really gone up since the pandemic. Make sure you order ahead on Sundays or there may be a long line.

This was my first time here and it was great! The young lady at the counter was so kind and friendly. She was so patient waiting on us to decide what to order. We dined in and everyone was so nice. The food was excellent and I will visit there again.

This is one of the BEST family owned restaurant s I've ever eaten in. The food is cooked to perfection-well seasoned, well cooked, and very fresh. Not processed!!! This is a must stop by when you're in Augusta, GA. I was so excited to hear their daughter has her own Caribbean food truck. I can't wait to try it out.

Big Mama’s never misses! Their turkey wings are everything — tender, seasoned just right, and falling off the bone. That’s my go-to plate every time I come through. The flavor, the portions, the love they put in the food… you can taste it!

I recently ordered a turkey wing dinner with a slice of red velvet cake through DoorDash from Big Mama’s…a restaurant I’ve supported and enjoyed for quite some time. When my order arrived, I noticed the red velvet cake was only about a quarter of the size they normally serve.

I called the restaurant to see if this was a mistake. The first young lady I spoke with seemed confused, so I asked to speak with a manager. Another young lady got on the phone, and after I explained my concern, she immediately responded with, “What do you want us to do about it?” — with an obvious attitude. No apology, no explanation, no effort to make it right.

Let me be clear, my issue isn’t with the taste or quality of the food, it’s always been pretty good. My frustration is with how the situation was handled. DoorDash didn’t cut that cake—the restaurant did. Passing the buck and brushing off a loyal customer over a valid concern is not the way to do business.

The level of customer service these days is just unbelievable—virtually zero. You can tell a lot about a person by how they communicate, and that interaction told me everything I needed to know. Rather than argue, I ended the call.
