I brought two chitterlings dinners the chitterling on both place was very gummy & my collard greens was sweet and my cornbread was burnt and I brought a two-piece dark meal the chicken look very old I think it's time for them to change the grease just hurt my feelings ??

The atmosphere of the place was nice. If I had to nitpick I guess I would maybe opt to change some of the artwork in the place to be more cohesive but again that’s just me nitpicking. The customer service was great our order was taken pretty fast and we got our food in a good time.For the food I ordered the oxtails, collards, and fried green tomatoes. To start off I would say that the oxtails were like a smothered oxtail just like it would be if it was chicken. The flavor just wasn’t there for the oxtails and they were pretty tough to get through. The rice also didn’t have much flavor at all and the cornbread muffin was a bit dry. However, they have some of the best fried green tomatoes I’ve tasted in years I would come back multiple times for an order of those alone. The collards were also good as well.If you do plan on going here I would suggest sticking to the chicken or any other meat on the menu besides the oxtails and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The food was okay. The fried catfish was very good. But the mac and cheese could have been better, because the noodles were very soft and there wasn't much flavor. The yams were meh. The service was good and the ambiance was family style. The brownies from the bakery next door were delish and red velvet cake was okay.

The food was so good. They have great portions. We will definitely be back soon.
The folks are very friendly, but we were a tad disappointed in the food - especially for the price. The potatoes and greens were good. The peach cobbler was sour/spoiled and we could tell when we took a bite. We ended up throwing it out and began to question how fresh everything else was.

We came in from N. Charleston preparing for the Kevin Gates concert and was greeted by a very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. I'm not a meat eater, so I indulged in the hearty vegetable soup. It was delicious. They also have sweets that were good and a sweet shop located in the building but across the way. We enjoyed the service and food.
