Bodega Ultima - Augusta, GA

I did a little research online and this restaurant was listed as one of the best in the Augusta area and I can see why. The atmosphere was welcoming and unique, and the service and food were top-tier. The owner and sommelier spent time with us and was so thoughtful and informative as to their history! Highly recommend!

Sandwich was good but potato salad was pretty bad; no flavor, potatoes still hard, chunks too big. Perhaps getting another recipe for that would be helpful.

I’m not one to write bad reviews but this one deserves it… I had specifically told the server that I couldn’t drink caffeinated coffee because I’m pregnant, I had asked for an iced decaf coffee… she brought a hot coffee and said she forgot which one was the one decaf… given the side effects she gave me the caffeinated one… also the avocado on my toast was black…

Fun, fun, fun! Starting with Carolyne as our server, was an incredible way to start our day since it was our first time here. The bloody mary, was fabulous. The Cuban was delicious and my husband's burger was made with lotsa love. 😋 He had fries on the side and I had their potato salad. Fries were good - crispyon the outside and soft on the inside, potato salad was unique. Not your typical potato salad, but good. No room for dessert. Definitely recommend and we're ready to return. Thanks for a great experience Carolyne!! You rock!!

Bodega Última is an absolute gem in Augusta! The food is fresh, creative, and full of flavor—every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. Nice place to stop. Didn't have any alcohol but there is a large selection. The food was ok, under-seasoned and a bit dry. (Breakfast Burrito) Iced tea was weak. Salt shakers were severely rusted. The staff were very observant.

We got there , they told us to sit where we’d like.. so we sat outside and no one ever came out to get our order. Very disappointed!

Waiter never came to our table, so we just left. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was terrible! Our server hardly ever checked on us and we had to ask other servers/food runners for our food, refills, condiments, silverware, our check etc. The food was flavorless and took so long even thought we were some of the only people there. I got the “baked and fried chicken biscuit” and the menu says it’s “dipped in hot honey” but it’s smothered in some type of hot sauce and is extremely spicy. I didn’t taste any honey/sweetness at all and ended up barely eating it because of how spicy it was. I also got the papas, half of which were burnt and the non-burnt ones tasted bad. Our sides didn’t come out with our entrees, and so we had to ask about them. There was no communication that the rest of our food was on the way. We had to ask for everything we needed (check, silverware, refills, condiments) and were never checked in on. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

Food was pretty good, service was not. We weren’t greeted as we walked in and had to flag down the bartender to ask if we seat ourselves. This was after we stood at the bar for a few minutes, looking confused and no one said anything. Anyway, we’re at the bar and the bartender takes our order. She was very pleasant. While we’re waiting for our food, we watch other servers touch their phones, their hair, their faces, etc…while also touching the rims of patrons glasses and coffee cups. One particularly bold server texted constantly directly across the bar from us and then immediately touched clean cups and plates. Our food comes out, and about 20
seconds later, the server comes back and asks me if I’d “touched my food yet”. I hadn’t. She grabs my plate, hands me another, and says that she gave us the wrong food. She then takes the “wrong food”, and serves it directly to another table. The food was good…Pat’s chicken sandwich was moist and flavorful, burger was delicious and perfectly cooked, fries were pretty decent, potato salad was awful. No one checked on us at all while we ate, we had to ask for every condiment, no water was refilled. Food was good, but not excellent enough to overcome subpar service. Probably won’t come back.

Very relaxing and classy atmosphere. My server was very kind and suggested a cranberry pineapple mimosa. It was exactly what I was craving! I got a salmon blt and the bacon was perfectly crispy and balanced with the other flavors of the cream cheese and salmon and lettuce. The croissant was toasted to light and crispy. This restaurant is good for a brunch with friends or a casual date. I did notice the extensive wine selection inside and will be coming back for a date with my husband.
