The waffles here are to die for. So many options and every one is good. The coffee is excellent too. I’m not from Augusta, but I’m going to come here every time I’m in town!

Arguably one of the best waffles I’ve ever had. A must go to breakfast spot in downtown Augusta. Friendly staff and excellent food!

Such a great experience at this Black owned breakfast spot. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and made with love. The service was welcoming, and you could really feel the pride they take in what they do. Definitely a place I’ll support and come back to.

I found COE on Google while searching for nearby restaurants and WOW—so glad I did. I popped in for a quick to-go order and a couple of coffees, and everything from start to finish was fantastic. The staff was fast, friendly, and welcoming, and the food absolutely delivered. I had the chicken wrap with the potato croquette—perfectly seasoned with just the right kick and tons of flavor. This place is a gem, and I’ll definitely be back!

Had the low country waffle with grits and shrimp this morning and had to post my review. BEST DAMN WAFFLE EVER. It's under the savory menu and that is how I would describe it. Great food, if I'm in rhe area around breakfast or brunch time that's now my go to spot! People were nice atmosphere was nice 10 out of 10 or 5 stars!

Me and my girlfriends came to Cafe on 8th for a post holiday brunch. It was our first time coming here and we were not sure what to expect but we were all pleasantly surprised. The location leaves a lot to be desired as the surrounding buildings are run down and possibly abandoned? Maybe long term the area will improve or they will move. The ordering set up is a little wonky. You order at the counter , your given a number and seating is first come first serve. This set up is fine for solo dinners but groups will need to all order on one ticket if you want a chance of getting your food at the same time. The food is made to order so if three or more people in the same group order separately the first order will be at the table and cold by the time the rest of the food stagers out. I would have much rather had a waitress come to the table to take our order than place multiple separate orders at the counter. With that being said the staff was super friendly and happily explained the everything being cooked on a waffle iron concept and made suggestions of their personal favorites. We ended up ordering the peach cobbler waffle, the creole shrimp waffle, the low county waffle, and the avocado toast waffle all to share. Let me tell you, I would slap my own mama for anyone of those again. Each one had an amazing and unexpected depth of flavor. The women in the kitchen did a phenomenal job. I will absolutely go back at some point just for the food but not in a group of more than 2. I would absolutely be a frequent visitor if they ever adopted a waitress service system and I could bring more friends with me.

The food was decent, but the small portions they give you are overpriced. You could easily make it at home yourself! Additionally, the restaurant could’ve done better with the decorations to match its “fancy” theme.
