I had high hopes for this place. They weren’t serving coffee at 10 am and had about 6 choices of desserts. The ham breakfast item was cold with no offer to heat it up. Then I pulled out a $20 dollar bill to pay and they had no change. I got back 4$ in dimes and quarters. Awful.

Everything tasted delicious. I took an array of goodies back to the open heart ICU staff caring for my hubby and they raved about everything they tried as well. Even the two ladies greeting everyone at the doors of the Heart Tower enjoyed a “Read Across America” cupcake of their choice and loved the flavor and texture. I especially loved the ham roll and chicken salad which were so different from anything I’ve ever tasted before. My truck still has the great lingering smell of the sweet smelling air freshener from your bakery ❤️

The definition of diamond in the rough or a “hidden gem” for Downtown Augusta. It’s easy to pass by this hidden bakery when traversing around town, but once you decide to stop in, you’ll be sure to stop by every time you’re passing by. Inside the bright pink house is a wonderfully decorated interior that features a cafe and bakery, as well as an amply decorated seating area. There is a wide variety of goods available for purchase, from a variety of fresh baked pastries, both sweet and savory, to freshly brewed coffee, pre packaged lunch’s and spreads, and even ice cream. The owner is at the fore front of the business and she is readily available to meet the needs of any inquiring customer. It is clear that his place is more than a business for profit to the owner, this is her passion project. There was nothing but smiles on everyone’s faces, and I couldn’t help but smile myself. Definitely a must visit.Parking: There is a small free parking lot adjacent to the building, as well as limited parking available in front of the building.

Dolce Darlin is one of the most magical places in Augusta, maybe even the world. I can't say that for sure, but what I am sure about, is that everyone should come try Dolce Darlin.Mrs. Darlin and her team put their guests at the forefront of everything they do. Every decision, change, and cupcake made are to better serve her community, and you. Mrs. Darlin pours her love into the building, into the food, and into every person she interacts with. When I walk in, I immediately feel loved, appreciated, and welcomed. No matter how busy they are, the Darlins always seem to have time for their customers. They have 3 amazing, immersive themed rooms, tons of seating, and a giant display case full of goodies.Speaking of goodies, I haven't even talked about their food yet. I have been going almost every week for years, and I have yet to order something that didn't taste amazing. The food is so good, it could make me cry (and in fact, it has). The food is not only heavenly, but also comforting, and real. She cares about the ingredients she uses. And everything is so reasonably priced. If you aren't convinced yet, Dolce Darlin also hosts tons of weekly themed events that are so immersive and fun.So to recap: loving owner, welcoming environment, amazing food, great value and fun events. Nothing more I can ask for. [Cue mic drop]

This bakery is located in a gorgeous old house on Telfair street and I loved the atmosphere. The staff and owner were very friendly, engaging and personable. We had the banana pudding and a PBJ cake sandwich. My only real complaint is that the pudding was thin and didn't have any real bananas in it, just Nila Wafers. It tasted good though! Also, there wasn't a large selection. The case was half empty, but that could just have been because of our timing. Hopefully, there will be a better selection the next time I visit and I will definitely be back. If you're in the area check them out!

It's a magnificent-looking place, this corner house that is walkable from downtown and was decked out for the holidays when I made it in. They are open limited hours but say they rent out the space for events, which I'm guessing is a good opportunity. The cupcake flavors were likewise seasonal and decked out. They looked nice, but I found them a bit tough simply because the ratio of icing to actual cake was so skewed towards the icing. I mean, I like icing as much as the next guy, but it was so indulgent it was hard to eat; the best cupcakes I find have more of a balance of flavors and aren't quite as sweet. But the kids here sure looked happy, and the variety of options was interesting and changes weekly.

Honestly, it's just such a chill place to hang out, with themed rooms (The Princess Bride one is amazing), that the baked goods and coffee were just icing on the cake! I had a toasted marshmallow latte and a massive chocolate chip cookie! I also got cupcakes to go! Apparently, their menu changes from week to week, so there's a lot of exciting reasons to visit more than once!
