I’ve been going for over a decade and have always left happy. The menu is varied and consistently excellent. The service is exceptional and the staff are genuinely friendly.

I had one of the worst service experiences in this place. It was about 90 minutes until we got all the foods. The server most likely messed up the orders and we received the last meal 15 minutes after the other ones. The excuse was the small kitchen was busy but we also needed to remind our drink orders to receive them. Not going back again and not recommending!

They weren't too busy, so we were seated right away. The steak was good, but we have had better (we eat steak a lot!). I asked for steak sauce, and apparently, I offended the chef. He made me a gravy that would go on a biscuit, not a steak. Can I bring my own A-1 next time? Our waitress said that the steak is cooked to perfection and doesn't need a sauce. I like a good bernaise sauce. What's wrong with that? I thought they were snobbish. The peanut butter pie was the best part. It was delicious ?.

This restaurant attempts to be upscale, but misses the mark on execution. Food service was very slow despite the small dining room being less than half full. The food looked good when it finally did arrive, but we quickly discovered that it looked better than it tasted.
The sloppy Jolene had a thick, tough slice of raw pineapple, which would have been so much better grilled from both a tenderness and flavor perspective. The pulled pork wasn't pulled, it was roughly hewn into large chucks and wasn't even fully reheated when served so it was barely warm. It probably couldn't have been pulled even if they tried, as most of the pieces were not tender. The potatoes were undercooked and crunchy. The only somewhat enjoyable part of this sandwich was the egg, which was perfectly cooked.
The shrimp cheesy grits fared a little better. Although needing some salt (and none on the table) the grits had a good flavor and were well cooked, but the grilled veggies were not drained well and left a greasy pool in the grits. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked, so they actually took away from the dish instead of enhancing it.
This was not bad food, but not worth anywhere near the price you'll pay for it.
