Full transparency, I've passed by this establishment for years with the intention of visiting for a meal. Formosa II Chinese Restaurant located on Davis Road in Augusta, GA finally visited for a meal and my first impression was... ok, another Chinese restaurant however once you get pass the entrance the decor submerged you to a different place. They have a fountain in the middle of the dining area... Asian art work decorate the entire place which I though was really cool... I was impressed with the customer service and friendly welcoming and really enjoyed the interior. The food was served fresh, hot, and delicious. We enjoyed everything from appetizers to entrees. If you hadn't already you must give Formosa II a visit regardless of the current Yelp rating.

Order sweet and sour chicken. Got chicken NO SAUCE. Called and told it would be 1 hour to get sauce. Asked for credit and was told no refunds. Only if I order online next time I might get a sweet and sour chicken meal free. I doubt it. ?

One of the better chinese restaurants I've had takeout from in the area. Never dined in, but the food has been consistent the handful of times I've had food from them. Portions are generous for the price and they've always been friendly.

Lol they have upped their delivery charge twice now. It’s now up to 10$ hahahaha I’ll just go pick up from China king for that price. We have been eating here forever and this is just too much to rationalize, and don’t blame it on increased prices. nowhere else even comes close to that delivery charge not even door dash or other popular delivery services. What a joke

Solid 3 which in my book means I won't be back. Restaurant again has identified crisis can't decide if they want to offer Cantonese or Szechuan menu so they opt for both and do neither well. As previous dinners mentioned the breading amount is ridiculous. Description says giant shrimp what you get is popcorn shrimp butterflied and triple breaded. My dish lacked the bird nest and was mostly canned water chestnuts and broccoli. It had no discernible taste except salty. If you love Chun King you will be good here. If you expect flavor try someplace else. The nicest thing I can say is that the wait staff was friendly and it looked clean.

The best General Tso Chicken I have tried in the area, hands down. I had to ask for extra spicy, because I guess they changed their recipe because the last 2 times I had gotten it, it wasn't spicy at all. The chicken wings and Chinese donuts are very good as well. They are affordable, give large portions and have a very short wait time...
Just ordered take out for two people. General tsos tasted like older chicken reheated and got the happy family and requested no scallops with beef instead. Got no beef with extra scallops and wasn’t good either. Pretty disappointed.

I'm writing this review 8 years after my experience. I dined inside with my younger brother in sister and there was only one couple also present in the large dining area. They left and it was just us. Food came and everything tasted good. As we were eating I noticed something in my peripheral vision. Not once but a few times. So I decided to focus a little harder. There was a mouse literally running around the dining room from area to area. We immediately dropped our forks and left without paying. I was horrified. It could've came from the outside but the perception of Chinese restaurants and a freaking mouse being in the dining room was an absolute no go. I literally thought the mouse was fleeing for his life out the kitchen. This review is a warning to any potential people who decide to eat at this establishment.

I have been craving some great chinese food for a few years (where I used to live didn't have chinese takeout). This place is pretty great! I ordered for takeout on an app and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. The crab rangoons and veggie rolls are perfect. The only "complaint" I have is that the "Spicy" garlic shrimp is neither spicy, or garlicky. It is delicious, tho.

Service was good, however, I did notice a few things about the food served. If you order Kung Pao Shrimp, you get about 4 medium sized ones. Not great, but not terrible. A similar issue with the shrimp fried rice or lomein, the shrimp are microscopic!
