Explained to waiter that one of us had a dental problem and would be eating lightly. Continually tried to take food plate as well as bread had to be told 3 times plus another the same. Service was focused on needs of restaurant not on needs of customer. I would need to think twice about returning food isn't that different to tolerate non empathetic process focused with a touch of arrogance

Have been to FH three of the last four weekends because the food is so good. The filet with bordelaise, creamed spinach and duck fat confit fingerling potatoes is that CRAVEABLE! The people that work at FH are so nice and accommodating. Jaylin makes every dinner better! Can't wait for the cowgirl ribeye to come back! So much good food to look forward to.

Our waiter (JJ) was topnotch. His recommendations were spot on. When we were seated and the menus placed in front of us each had a special note to us about our anniversary which we were celebrating. They listen and respond. The food was very good too. We had specials which JJ told us about and recommended. We had regular menu items (mussels) which he recommended too but were prepared differently than the traditional "white wine sauce" and were fantastic. Cocktails and wine were both very good. Dessert was a surprise and good too (we often skip dessert but couldn't this time). Overall, we had a very nice evening with good food and never felt rushed or ignored either.

We reserve our visits to Frog Hollow Tavern for special occasions because they treat us well, and the food is excellent. It's often a short wait for a table, even with a reservation, but it's worth the wait. The pace of our table service was just right. Our food was spot-on, and the atmosphere was lively but not too loud. There are several really good restaurants in Augusta, and we count FHT as one of them. All of the Frog Hollow Hospitality Group establishments are excellent. FHT is their crown jewel.

Frog Hollow Tavern absolutely delivered. The halibut was perfectly cooked—flaky, flavorful, and hands-down one of the best I've had. The Old Fashioned was spot on too—well-balanced and smooth. Great atmosphere, great service. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Sampled a variety of small plates (roasted James River oysters, asparagus bisque and the mussels in curry sauce) and large plates (braised Berkshire pork shoulder, shrimp and grits and a scallops dinner special)...everything was exceptional! The service was top notch too. Our server Fritz, made a point of asking all our names, used them throughout the meal, and provided a level of service that was above and beyond what we expected. His recommendations were excellent and he and the other wait staff were attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.
