This is a great authentic southern restaurant. We got off SR-520 looking for a quick bite. Stopped here because it looked quiet, and we had not heard of Goolsby's before. I am glad we stopped! We really enjoyed the food and the people. They are generous and friendly. As a bonus, they are listening to a local Christian radio station.
My uncle told my mother and I about the place so we decided to go. I can't eat spicy foods and everything I tried was great and flavored just perfect. I got so much on my plate I ate two times on it. My mother and I took my sister and she loved it also. We have decided not to cook for new years so we are hoping they will be opened New Year so we can go there.
If you are lucky to be in Augusta, you have to check out this favorite for miles around!! We LOVED it, the food, staff and the atmosphere!! People are so nice, and the portions are generous.... what a treasure for the community of Augusta!
