Happy Garden is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Augusta. When my boyfriend and I first moved here we tried multiple different Chinese restaurants but this one took the cake in not only quality/taste of food but also service. We ate there regularly for the entire 4 years at the DCG and it never failed to be absolutely delicious. We frequently got the sweet and sour chicken combo which is a 10/10 and the beef/chicken and broccoli combo which was usually an 8.5/10. We also love their crab rangoon's, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, house soup, veggie lo mein, szechuan style beef, and much more. Really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We always called in for takeout and the wait time was always around 15-20 minutes for pickup. Usually a younger guy always helped us and he is just the best!

One of my favorite restaurants in this area. It's a must have when visiting! Crab Rangoons are the best around!

The best Chinese food in Augusta, GA. Crab Rangoons are great. Sesame chicken and spicy garlic chicken are wonderful every time we order it.

Honestly one of the better Chinese foods I've had in this area. I only do takeout (seems like they also prefer this? Could be wrong) and they are always nice. Portions are great too.

Judging based on the two items I've gotten so far (and have ordered multiple times in only the past month), this place is toe to toe with some spots I've had in china towns of Houston and Atlanta. It will sound like an exaggeration but the flavor is authentic, the quanities are great, and the price is fair. Beef Chow fun (5/5): this beef chow fun is at least as good as ones I've had at almost every other restaurant apart from House of bowls in houston. Huge and plentiful beef chunks (flank I believe) that are super tender every time I've ordered. Plenty of crunchy bean sprouts to balance out the chewy wide rice noodles. The rice noodles always have a great texture and are soaked in the addicting brown sauce. The only thing I can think of that makes this just beneath the best spot in Houston's china town is that the sear is lighter on the beef flank and noodles, resulting in a slightly less smoky taste. This is probably just due to a lower heated wok. Overall this is my favorite dish in Augusta and I wouldn't be ashamed to bring family here when they visit no matter where they are from. Hunan chicken (4.5/5): The hunan chicken was a dish I ordered to see if other dishes tasted authentic here, and it also exceeded expectations. The dish is just spicy enough that there's a small kick without being overwhelming. There is a subtle fermented bean flavor similar to laoganma, making it stand apart from your average stirfried chicken dish you would find in other less authentic chinese restaurants. Like the beef flank in the beef chow fun, the chunks of chicken here are also plentiful and every single time I've ordered, they have been ridiculously tender. Plenty of snowsnap peas, carrots, and broccoli that are crunchy yet soaked in the brown sauce that goes great with white rice. I ordered this one with the egg roll and fried rice as a combo the first time. The egg roll is crispy and filled with pork/cabbage, less greasy than others I have had in Augusta. The fried rice is decent but a bit too salty. I recommend sticking to white rice. The only .5 I knocked off is because the Hunan chicken is just a tad saltier than I would like, but it's not a big issue with enough white rice. Definitely happy to have stopped by here after seeing a picture of their beef chow fun on google reviews. I have definitely found my Chinese spot in Augusta that isn't just solid for an Augusta Chinese spot but genuinely an authentic experience by any standard.

We have just moved to Aiken and been looking everywhere for a decent Chinese restaurant. But we weren’t expecting this to be so good. It has the most amazing food, just like we used to get in Connecticut. We order a ton when we’re in the area and eat like kings for a week!

Shockingly money hungry. Almost $30 for 2 meals and a small side of white sauce, and no eggs in the fried rice to save money. Food was also subpar. Very shameful, greed clearly took them over.
