If heaven smells like anything, it’s probably like walking into Jim ‘N Nick’s. The food here is so good it almost feels unfair—like how can one place get barbecue this right? The mac and cheese had me questioning my life choices because I don’t think I’ll ever enjoy the boxed kind again.

But what really took things to another level was the amazing service from Ariel. She wasn’t just doing her job—she made the whole experience feel special. Friendly, patient, and genuinely caring, Ariel had that rare mix of professionalism and warmth that makes you feel like you’re being hosted by family. She checked in at all the right times without hovering and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s clear she takes pride in what she does, and honestly, people like her are what make a good restaurant great.

The rest of the staff matched that same positive energy—everyone was kind, relaxed, and seemed to actually enjoy being there. The atmosphere is just right: laid-back, full of laughter, and welcoming to everyone. You can talk, laugh too loud, and no one bats an eye because they’re probably doing the same.

I left full, happy, and maybe just a little more convinced that good food and great people really can solve half of life’s problems. Five stars all the way—and special thanks to Ariel for making the visit unforgettable. I wish I could’ve taken photos, but the food didn’t stand a chance. 😅

This is a good BBQ restaurant. We had pulled pork, smoked wings,and pork ribs. The meat was seasoned and smoked well. The house sauce was just ok. I had a side salad that was very good. The staff was very attentive and nice. We will be returning on our next trip to Augusta.

Blown away by the quality and flavor of the food! Outstanding

I was in Augusta for work. Coworker recommended this place for dinner, I was surprised. The first night I had the brisket sandwich and smoked wings with habanero sauce. Some of the best brisket I had, melted in your mouth and every bite was full of flavor. Best smoked wings I had, habanero sauce was not spicy, wings was coated just right. Staff there was awesome, waitress was Meka and she was very pleasant, accommodating and answered all questions. It was so good I went back the following with more coworkers and everyone loved the food and atmosphere. When I return for work, I will.be going back for.sure!

The staff was very helpful with everything that’s a go specialist Kim she’s amazing. I loved how she helped me. Also, the GSP faith in Christian were amazing people. They made sure that all my food came out perfectly and everything tasted amazing barbecue from heaven.
