Chef is Talented. Food was excellent. (Tho slow). Service also excellent, but had to relay that “the cook is too busy to have your wedge salad chopped”. It takes literally 5-10 seconds to chop a salad. Therefore, management/owner allowing a cook to have that much power - to alienate customers - is failure. C'est la vie. Ps. “Tavern” is the wrong name. This restaurant should reflect its (relatively) sleek ambiance and culinary potential. Any entity can purchase a liquor license - thus becoming a “tavern”. But few can master world-class epicurean achievement.

Jordan is one of the best bartenders I’ve had the pleasure of being served by! Always friendly and great at remembering my husband and I’s preferences. Drinks are consistently excellent, and her positive energy really makes the bar a great place to be. We love Midtown! Ask for Jordan!

Service was super nice and very attentive . Manager made sure he came by and checked on us. My shrimp was a little over done but still very good. Drinks were good and made correctly. We will definitely go back back.

Great food and value. Will be back. Only negative was that the back room was so loud that conversation was very difficult n frustrating. Not sure if it was the acoustics of that specific room or the loud groups around us. Was a nice night and in hindsight should have asked for outside. But will visit again for sure.

Nice atmosphere, especially the speakeasy bar in the back, behind a hidden door in a bookcase. The wings tasted like packaged wings heated up; but the fries tasted as good as Chi-Fil-A; and the pork/rice/broiled tomato with cheese was pretty good. Reasonably priced food. The drinks were good, we both liked the New Fashioned cocktail, but that was overpriced, especially since they used regular ice, not gourmet ice.

The drinks were fine. The food was miserable. Oysters fried hard as rocks, spinach artichoke dip tasteless, chips for dip almost as hard as rocks, salad unimpressive. Will never eat there again.

Best burger in Augusta. Prompt friendly service. When I bring friends, they try other items on menu and are always pleased with the quality and taste of their entrees. Thank you for being a hometown location where we are welcomed.

Went here for Date Night and we will definitely be back. Nice atmosphere and great service. I had the Fish and Chips which tasted very clean and the tartar sauce was great. My boyfriend had the Steak Frites and the chimichurri was absolutely delicious! We can't wait to go back and try something else from their menu.
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but our experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered the salmon, which was supposed to come with a “citrus dill cucumber salad” and “southern-style green beans.” The salmon and green beans had absolutely no flavor. You could see pepper on top of the salmon, but that was the only taste it had. And the cucumber salad? It was literally just a pile of pickles.
My husband ordered the fish and chips, and his meal wasn’t any better. The fish was soggy, bland, and completely lacking flavor.
We spent $80 for food that tasted like nothing. Definitely not worth it.
