i ordered a shrimp tempura roll and it was mushy and tasted very old i called up there and they told me i had to bring it all back which i dont stay by them saying they need to look at the food before replacing it also the shrimp was brown like it was burnt the cucumbers were mushy soon as i put it in my mouth i spit it out

I hadn’t been here in years, tonight we popped in tonight for a family dinner. It became very busy very quickly. It was delicious as always, and the service was great - Jailyn was our server, and he took care of us. Very friendly atmosphere. I’m so glad this restaurant is still around and still my favorite hibachi in town.

Prices are a bit higher than expected for food quality but not bad. The tuna roll had a surprisingly amount of tuna so definitely worth it. Don’t think I would recommend the chicken karage. It didn’t really taste or look like Japanese fried chicken.

I ordered sushi. I really don't like ordering Sushi in Augusta. I really haven't found a place that is good. I thought I would try. I got the California Roll which is one of my favs it was totally nasty and fishy. I told them. They still charge me for it anyway. Whoever is making it doesn't know how. I've been eating it over 20 years and I've never tasted one like that... never again from them.

My husband saw a weird dark spot on his tempura, he pulled it off and it was a FLY INSIDE of the coating. As in, the fly was ALSO coated in tempura batter and fried.

The server went to get her manager but apparently the manager was busy at the bar (the place was almost empty) and told her to offer to take just the bento box meal off the check or remake it, but we were both so sick to our stomach we said we wanted to leave, she said the manager would be over in a minute. I left before my husband because I felt nauseous and got sick in the parking lot. They still made him pay for the rest of the meal we had barely eaten.

Manager never bothered to show up and talk to him.

Literal fly inside the tempura batter on my shrimp...a whole fly just under the surface. Was told the manager was tied up bar tending but would be over in a minute. They never showed. Must have been overwhelmed by the single person sitting at the bar. They comped the meal, but neither me nor my wife had any appetite left even though we had only been eating for a few minutes before the incident. So I payed for the other food...even though we didn't eat it...and we left. Good job guys... We will not be returning.

I had dinner here yesterday, and I was disappointed. sashimi is not fresh, and they didn't do well then koi, anyway their hibachi is still good.

We went there twice and this review is for both. Both times my wife and I had the Miyako dinner for 2 and the food was good. The 1st dining experience was fantastic the waitress was very nice, attentive, and was doing everything to make our experience great, the chef was entertaining, and was interacting with us and made the experience fun. There was so much food we took over half of it home. The 2nd time there was almost the exact opposite, the waitress had to be reminded to bring us our drinks, we had to ask twice about the sushi we ordered, and overall she seemed uninterested in waiting on the table. The chef was absolutely horrible never said hello, never said anything to anyone at the table except to confirm our orders, or even have a great night, just came cooked the food, and left. My wife and I were actually embarrassed as we had bragged about the 1st time we were there and so the second time we came with friends who was not impressed at all. We are torn about going there again and with as many choices there is in Augusta will most likely try all the others before returning if we return at all

Me and my wife who are both disabled got to the restaurant around 6pm on 6/14. We told the hostess there would be 4 people in our party. We were not informed that we could be seated at a table. We told the hostess we wanted hibachi unaware that we could be seated if we wanted we were told we had to wait for our other party(my sister and her guest) My sister who has eaten there before called the restaurant and informed the manager we were there and told to wait. She asked them to seat us. It was also my wife’s 40th birthday as well. We were seated immediately after my sister called the restaurant. We ordered our food around 6:30. Most of the food arrived rather quickly however my sister guest didn’t receive his food until 45 minutes after we did. My sister asked to speak with the manager and found out they had not entered his order into the computer. They then took another 30 minutes and finally brought his food. We were already done by that point. We mentioned to them several times about my wife’s birthday nothing was done for her even though several other birthdays were acknowledged. We complained to the several managers about the service all they offered was 30% discount on order. We will not be back

The tuna tataki (seared tuna) shows up nothing like the photo on the menu and it looks barely steamed if that. They refused to take it back after I did not want it because it didn’t look at all like what is on the menu because “sushi is too expensive.” That was a quote from the manager on the floor.

I love the new drinks they offer monthly, always something different & new to try, delicious. I also like the new weekly specials they are implementing with the sushi & drinks. Food is always cooked fresh, sushi is made fresh, the music is always nostalgic.

Dined in hibachi Friday evening and the service was AMAZING! Shoutout to our waitress Chassidy, she was very attentive & polite. Didn’t get the chef’s name but he was entertaining and his food was great as well. Will be returning for my birthday in July :)
