Oliviana Bar Italiano & Pizzeria

We went there on 10-19-2024 to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were able to reserve our favorite booth. Which helped make the evening even more special. There was a great jazz band playing. But what truly made it a night to remember was our waiter, Mason. He was so knowledgeable about the food and drinks and made us laugh so much, while remaining totally professional. He is a wonderful asset to Oliviana. As always, we will be back.

Italian sliders were pretty close to perfect! Love that they have Stella on tap! Excellent service as well. Terrific spot for Happy Hour.

Nice place, food was pretty good. Little frustrated they only had a very limited menu until 3pm on a Sunday due to “brunch”. Typical excuses you hear these days “day shift didn’t prep for night shift etc”. All in all good though.

Amazing food. We really missed Italian stationed in Texas and we're searching for a good place that compared to onces we'd had in our time in San Diego. This food feels authentic and there are interesting options other than just pastas. Everything we had was delicious. Maybe I was extra hungry but the cheese sticks were the best I'd ever had. The atmosphere is nice. Perfect for a date night or family dinner/ celebration.

The most delicious food ever. My family and I ordered the meatballs and they were out of this world! It was the best meatballs I have had in a long time. The service was great and booths were very comfortable and amazing. My family was very pleased with this food definitely stopping by when we have the chance to.

Genuinely confused at the idea of a place that requires business casual attire for patrons, but has a bunch of TVs and disco balls. The TVs in particular were so distracting. I wanted a nice restaurant, not a sports bar. Doesn't help that the acoustics are so bad that you can't hear the person next to you even when the restaurant is only half full. In terms of the food, the Chicken Marsala was amazing, the lamb was amazing. But, the pasta isn't made in house (ie it's from a box), and the tiramisu was horrible. It was all lady fingers, I don't even think they were soaked in espresso.
To try and end on a positive note, our server was really nice.
Essentially, some of the food is really good, but it's hit and miss and I wouldn't go again.

I love Olivia's. However, the tables and some other items needed help. Can we get a larger table inside in the corner by the front windows? We can barely get 4 small plates on it and drinks. There are paint smudges on the front light fixtures over the tables by the windows. And some of the other tables are completely inadequate for the seating space. Two of the corners are very sharp and the other two corners are curved. It doesn't make for a comfortable seating environment. For some definite oversights that can easily be fixed. I love the staff and food.

Ate at Oliviana's last night...it was the best Italian food I have ever eaten. The service was great and the atmosphere beautiful. I loved it ! Truly a remarkable restaurant ?

Vegetarian options: I chose a chicken selection, but my friend chose angel hair pasta and marinara sauce.

Dietary restrictions: I chose Chicken Marsala sauce without any pork additives. They accommodated me gladly.
