As Expected – Disappointing Once Again

Our first visit to this restaurant in June 2012 left us highly disappointed. We decided to give it another try in February 2025, only to find that nothing had changed.

Upon arriving at 5:42 PM, we were seated immediately. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy—a red flag for a Friday night.

We started with the Blooming Onion, naturally.

Both of us opted for the 3-Course Combo. My wife ordered Coconut Shrimp, a Baked Potato, a Salad, and for dessert, Chocolate Thunder from Down Under. I chose the Blooming Burger, Aussie Fries, French Onion Soup, and Raspberry Cheesecake.

Then, the waiting began.

After a long delay, my wife asked if our appetizer would arrive before our entrées. The server assured us it would. So, we waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally, about 30 minutes after ordering, the Blooming Onion arrived—overcooked, slightly burnt, but still edible.

Then, more waiting.

Our entrées arrived before the soup and salad, which we had to ask for separately. It seemed like they had been forgotten. The salad, which my wife had wanted with dressing on the side, arrived fully dressed with no option given. She didn’t even touch it. The French Onion Soup tasted like it came straight from a can—metallic and unappetizing.

Then came the check and to-go boxes—but no desserts. After asking about them, the server went to check, and we waited yet again. Eventually, the desserts arrived. Mine was correct and acceptable, but my wife’s was wrong. More waiting. When hers finally showed up, she barely ate any, as we were beyond ready to leave. We were finally cashed out at 7:12PM.

It’ll likely be another 13 years before we return—either to this location or any Outback Steakhouse. The food was passable at best, but the service was abysmal.

After 1:30 hrs of waiting and asking to the manager for our food and not getting it, we had to drive across the street to get Chick-fil-A that took two minutes to be served.
We are never going back! Horrible service

Great Atmosphere and wonderful service especially on Valentine's Day. The server was excellent and was very humble and helpful. The portions compared to Longhorns honestly are to me lacking for the price. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious but I was left disappointed in portions. To be honest it could be that this was the first time in years I visited Outbacks and it is possible I did not know what to order with larger amounts.

Too expensive for basic food.... The bloomin Onion came out burnt. The waitress was okay but she didn't go above and beyond she never came back to refill your drink or even asked you if you wanted another drink or you needed anything... I won't be going back...

I ordered a 6 ounce sterling steak and I had a steak knife and I had to sort through it to get it cut, and I brought that to the waitress attention and what she told me was the Sirlon steak is the toughest steak you can get … for customer service the response should’ve been I’ll take it back or do you want me to take it back?

Hot food, clean environment, and excellent service! We came as a group of 12 for a birthday and our waitress went all out to make the meal special. Highly recommend!

Our orders were taken promptly and our waitress was nice. But, the atmosphere was very off. Waitresses/food staff were gossiping and collecting in the back corner. Line cooks too. They continued in and out of the bathroom, in groups, commenting how Georgia is an “at will state”; I assume someone got fired and it was all the drama in the back. This went on for the entire time we were there (40 min or so).

On phones, talking trash, gossiping, and a few not looking like they worked there, but still participating.

Then my spouse’s soup came out. Frozen ball in the middle with a thin layer of water on top. Made me think “microwave”. She asked if we could leave. My starter still did not come out after 5 minutes; it was a salad. We waited for the staff to ask to leave. Upon that request, we were told by the waitress that they would speak to the manager. We then received the bill for one softdrink with all other items voided. We were not greeted by the manager, nor saw them.

Needless to say, that behavior needs to be out of the dining room and away from the customers. The environment, in conjunction with the cold soup as a telltale of food quality, gave us indicators to leave and find another place to eat.

Following that experience, we had a wonderful time at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Grovetown, where there was great food, service, and atmosphere.

In the middle of a massive rush. They accidentally forgot my shrimp for my Togo order. When I let them know they quickly made the rest of my order and gave me double shrimp for the inconvenience. Love this place!

I’m not typically the one to leave reviews or complain but my partner and I went to eat last night waited over 20 minutes for a server to get our drinks and appetizers, after we ordered it took a little over a hour and 10 minutes to get my steak and when it was finally sent it out it was blue-rare ( I ordered medium) my partners steak was also raw our server was professional and did her best but all in all was a terrible first time eating at outback very disappointing
