This was my first time here and I had to see and taste what the hype was all about. Nothing appealing to the eye other than a few of my favorite southern comforts. Black eyed peas were good, collards which are my favorite food was amazing. Everything else looked extremely salty, greasy and smothered. Service was incredible until the light skinned dude on the food service line kept asking me out. Place wasn't packed with lots of seating.
Drove west on I 20 from Columbia to Augusta for the sole purpose of eating at S&S. They never disappoint on southern home style food and the service is terrific. Especially appreciated the help of Mr Beasley in the dining room. Great job! Made the drive worth it and wish we had one in Columbia.
Anytime I’ve came to s&s the food was always good but I haven’t been in a while because I moved across town so yesterday I decided to go because I was near the area worst decision ever just because I spent over $60.00 on 4 plates with 2 extra sides and the food was horrible. Macaroni had imitation cheese (even I tried to reheat it in the microwave it still didn’t melt), the dressing had a funny taste to it and the sweet potato soufflé was not the normal soufflé. Now...
