Church luncheon. Food was great. They were able to take care of our group of 30.

About the only BBQ in town that's not drenched in sugary sauce. The 1841 sauce is particularly good.

The food is always good and lots of it

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. First thing you notice is how beautiful the restaurant is. When you walk in you’re greeted with smiles from some of the nicest staff. The food is amazing and their hash and rice plate is one of a kind. I wish we lived closer, because we would eat there more often.

I love the brisket and the chop barbecue sandwiches. Moist and tender is an understatement. I can not get enough of the darn brisket. After while I might blow up. The tea is very good also. My husband wanted to dine in last weekend for the first time and the service was excellent. We normally go through the drive-thru but I definitely enjoyed being able to dine in.

Growing up in Augusta, I grew up on Sconyers. I still love to eat it when I’m in the area. The small pork plate is always plenty for me. Their portions are pretty good in size. They have the best hash in the country. If you haven’t been to Sconyers, you need to go. They also have a drive thru.
I do miss the ladies wearing the old fashioned dresses. They have updated to overalls.

This is the very best of best. Fine dining for BBQ. And Larry Sconyers is a wonderful person. Humble, Generous, and a down to earth individual that nobody could help but admire and respect.

There's not another restaurant that compares to this one in Augusta. They are the best. They cook the meats to tender. The flavors they develop are amazing. The coleslaw is good. The potato salad is the bomb. The bread is fresh and, the tea is perfect. You have to try the pickles!!

Parking: Parking is plentiful with handicap parking on the front row.

I ordered the Plantation Platter and absolutely loved the flavor! The food tasted handmade and was delicious. This old-fashioned, pit-cooked barbecue place has been in business since 1956, and I highly recommend it for authentic, tasty barbecue.

Wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I personally will never go back. Pricey & the food sucked. More piled up hash & rice than other food. Hash was real runny. I wasn't impressed after all I've heard about the place.

It was really good today ! No complaints ?
