Food is excellent and service is friendly. Place is clean. Very long wait for food. If you are not in a hurry, this is the best burger around. I really enjoyed my meal. Come here when you have time to hang out for a while.

I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10, the only points off are that it took quite a while to get my food, some people who got there before me seemed to be a little impatient that their to go orders were taking longer than expected (they do have a sign thay says if you are in a hurry for your food you're in the wrong place). Its a typical bar type scene, maybe a little rough around the edges for more genteel folks, maybe not a good place for a 1st dateđ. The food was good, better than I expected. The burger all the way had great flavor, a big thick patty. The only complaint I would have food wise is mostly my fault. I guess I should have said medium, because my burger was cooked well done, which takes a some of the juicyness out, but the waitress didn't ask. The fries are your standard frozen crinkle fries, but they were cooked like they were supposed to be, not greasy, floppy or hard and overdone. Overall I think if you have the time and want a great burger that will fill you up for a good price and don't mind the ambience to be a little rough around the edges, this place is a downtown Augusta institution that is a bit of a locals only secret. It's busy even at 2 pm on a weekday, for good reason, even with the wait.

The chili on my chili cheese fryâs wasnât hot so I couldnât eat them. Staff was attentive. This is a dive bar in the best way possible with a good play list.

Well, first thing that threw me off a bit was it being cash only. I had to use the ATM inside, so that was a $3 service fee added onto my meal. Not many cash only places around these days, even at outdoor events in the middle of fields or the woods.
Food was great, so I have to give credit there. But considering our one-hour lunch break turned into two hours because it took that long for the three burgers, fries, and two hotdogs to be ready, that I can't overlook. Also, no refills since soft drinks are 12 oz cans, so do not sip on your drink during that hour wait or you will be spending more on your drink bill.
The atmosphere was ok, not the best but not like I felt like I needed to be sterilized when I left. So, average is what I would say. The person we dealt with was friendly, so that was a plus.
This was my first time there, so it will be hard for me to shake that wait time from my memory and go back unless I am just really needing a way to kill some time.

A treasure a rare kinda place that you donât see to often anymore. My burger was perfect handmade gem made with love. I had a PBR in a frozen glass. I felt very welcomed and at home. I loved it.

Iâm in town for a work trip and spent the afternoon downtown in Augusta and worked up a mean appetite. When talking to locals everyone said Iâd have to grab a burger from here so I listened!
Walking into the place you get a nice hole in the wall/dive bar restaurant vibe and it is just so right. Thereâs a jukebox to play some tunes while you sit down to enjoy the ice cold draft beer to accompany your food. Their âworld famous cheese burgerâ in fact lived up to its reputation. I recommend the âall the wayâ add on to your cheese burger as it really makes the flavor pop. They use a flat grill and itâs right behind the bar so your mouth can water while you wait for this slow cooked food to come out to your table or bar stool. The burger was cooked thoroughly to perfection and I had their onion rings instead of the fries. The cook was a young man, named Aiden, that you could tell cared about his work and engaged with me the entire time. Great experience all around for me, and I recommend anyone in the area to make time to visit here for atleast a beer and a bite to eat with a side of side bar chat with Aiden.

Went here today with my wife, she ordered her hamburger well done. Her food came with the center red and bloody. I took the food back up to the counter and let the waiter know it is not well done. He came back in a few minutes with another burger and still red and bloody. The waitress asked if everything OK and told her no the food is not cooked. She said she was sorry but we still had to pay for this meal.be the last time we go here, be careful as uncooked meat may make you sick

New crew cooking n waiting on tables. This will be the first time that I asked for a well done burger n it was still bleeding! The waiter took it back to the cook n guess what it was still not well done! And guess what I still had to pay for it! Terrible customer service!! Iv been going here for years n I won't be going back The rack n grill makes well done burgers n it much closer to home. I don't recommend this place to eat safely. Maybe cook needs food safety classes.
