I think they had to go out and kill the cow to make my burger. Took over an hour from placing my order. Waited at one of the tables near the pool tables and got treated to racial slurs from the drunk rednecks in who inhabit the place. The burger was ok. Basically like any dive bar burger. Not worth the wait and the racism. If this is the best Augusta has to offer then that's just sad

The Sports Center is the perfect blend of hole in the wall meets dive bar. The burgers are absolutely amazing and the hand made onion rings are pure bliss. The service can be slow at times due to the large amount of happy customers that continually return on a regular basis. Cash only is just one of the many unique traditions at the Sports Center. If you're in the mood for a huge flat top cooked burger, chicken wings, or any other delicious pub food, it's a must visit. Also, their ice cold beer and pool tables never disappoint!

Great little hang out spot. Make sure you bring cash as they don't take cards. Their burgers are delicous and onion rings just about melt in your mouth kind of good. Blue Moon on draft with an orange slice to wash it all down. Stephanie was helpful and friendly.

The food was really great. It's an honest hand formed hamburger patty probably an 80-20 mix and tastes like Chuck. They take the time cooking it nice and slow on a flat top and they grill the onions in the hamburger fat. The whole thing comes together on a great little bun that makes it just big enough to be able to manage it. I highly recommend the onion rings and the fries are okay. The fries could bra use a little extra seasoning and they just felt a little dry. But the onion rings, we're awesome.My biggest negative is it's cash only and the bar is humbly stocked.Great little authentic Hangout in downtown Augusta where the atmosphere is a wee bit more colorful! Definitely worth trying.

It was ok . We had a Great waitress she was on top of things.The problem I had was with the cook. She dropped my cheeseburger patty & had to re-cook it.It seemed like it took forever. But then the waitress came up & explained to us that they have an older style grill & you can only fit like 4 Patty's on it or something like that.Finally The lady behind the counter with the orange apron brings me my burger basket with no fries.I said where's the fries they then bring me the fries. By the time I got my food my husband & daughter had finished eating.I had to put mine in a to go plate bc we had been up since 2:30 ish & we was tried. We still had to drive about an hour to get home.The waitress Tiffany I think her name was she had long hair pulled back in a ponytail anyway she was Awesome.Bc of it taking us so long for me to get my burger & fries she didn't charge us for mine or our 3 sweet teas.Now I give 5 stars for the food bc the burgers were nice & thick burgers.My daughter's onion rings were deliciousBut the cook well that was crazy & we understand accidents happen.But if you're looking for a thick burger & to die for Onion Rings well this is the place to go to.
