Love this place. We eat here at least once a month. Would do more if we could.

I ate here a few times starting when they first opened until now. I love their food but NOT their untrained servers. Sorry, servers work for tips and they know that BEFORE taking the job.

My husband and I had dinner at the Taj of India on a Friday night. He ordered a lamb meal that was delicious, and I ordered Shrimp Biryani that was very flavorable and equally delicious! There were many customers there that particular evening enjoying their meals. We found the staff to be very cordial and attentive. We also noticed that many people were picking up takeout. Although small in space, the atmosphere was very comfortable. Since we are new to the area, we are happy to have found a restaurant that serves authentic Indian food.

Okay look, I ordered thru doordash. I didn't pay you 22$ for 6 small/medium shrimp in my curry. Let's stop that business right now. Also, please stop putting cold chickpea salad with hot items. Everytime I order there's something different going on. Different amount or sizes shrimp, different taste to salads. The food is good, for Evans. Please be consistent and respectful. 22$ for 6 previously frozen small/medium shrimp isn't polite. I would like to see you serve this to me in the restaurant.

Nice and helpful servers. Given the quantity and the quality, it felt like food items are quite overpriced here. We ordered one samosa chaat ($9.99), one tandoori platter ($25.99), one chilli naan ($2.99) & one stuffed paratha ($4.99). The chilli naan was really nice. There was a 3% charge on bill subtotal for using credit card to pay. I understand this might be the practice in some places but generally one would expect to be informed about it beforehand.

The older waitress showed attitudes as others commented. And TIPS for those who are still willing to try

1) she showed up directly with the credit card machine without a check. When we asked for the itemized check, her attitudes were “printing out the payment receipt is our way to get your itemized check.” Wow ? keep on reading, and you’ll understand why in the below points

2) she watched us the whole time while we had to press on her credit card machine to tip.

3) TIPS!!! the amount she showed on the credit card machine of course was post-tax (8+%) WITH a 3% credit card fee. No wonder she didn’t want to show a bill. So don’t hesitate to downgrade the suggested tip on the machine. And I wouldn’t be surprised if she presented an even worse overcharged bill as other comments said.

4) they were trying to let you take your messy leftover home with compartment-style boxes while they totally have sealed food containers for takeouts. So go ahead and ask for what you need, especially they are already charging you tips on top of taxes and credit card fees. BTW, the waitress rolled her eyes on us while we made the request

5) food is ok but very small servings, we can see them trying to cut corners, like not the cleanest napkins. We walked into the restaurant with good first impressions but we left very unhappily.

A Sunday lunch here is always a good experience. Enjoy the buffet, especially the chili chicken, and the zero wait time is great when trying to keep two toddlers happy. The only thing I would change would be to have the place slightly cooler during summer months, as it can be a bit hot during the day.

Kid-friendliness: No wait time, plenty of hichairs, staff is friendly to toddlers.

The food is so so. The meat they used is not quality meat. A lot of bones in the creamy curry chicken. Also, the casher over charged us. When I pointed out the mistake, the owner showed some attitude. Will not go again.

Food has no flavor, prices are too high, ordered a shrimp dish and got small frozen salad shrimp and overly sweet, too much tomato curry. I’ll stick with curry hut
