AMAZING 5 stars for the 5/5 spicy!!! I ordered the Goat Biryani with some cheese Nann bread stuff and it was great. The wide range of Biryani flavors were tasty and unique and the 5 heat was SERIOUS. They brought out a cool yogurt cucumber type sauce that did a wonderful job of cooking things down. This meal was such a great treat!!!!

I first ordered from The Taj of India a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it (except for the pakora). Today, I tried again. I got paneer tikka masala, pakora (to give it another chance), samosa, and chicken tikka. Unfortunately, nothing tasted good. The only acceptable item was the samosa. The rest were disappointing. The paneer tikka masala barely had any paneer inside, and there were a couple of things inside that I’m not sure what they were (similar to plant stems); definitely nothing to be eaten. It probably came from the spices; one is acceptable, but once there are more, it certainly ruins your appetite! I will not be ordering again. It’s not worth the price.

We drove by Augusta and had lunch here. The service was good but the food was ok. We ordered medium spiced gravy but it was quite spicy with overpowering taste of ginger.

I love the buffet here, and the special is wonderful. They update the lunch buffet menu on FB, and it changes daily. The only days they aren't open are Mondays, and the buffet is every day. It's delicious and the service is wonderful.

Decent food but the prices for the portion size is not adding up. 3oz of ice cream for 5.50 outrageous.Even the regular curries. I remember when you would be able to go and get a good meal without breaking the piggy bank. Not Indian cuisine anymore.

This is, hands down, the best Indian restaurant in the CSRA. Every dish is so flavorful and delicious, you can’t go wrong! My favorite part about Taj, aside from the great food, is how they treat you like part of the family when you eat there. Definitely one of our favorite spots for dinner!

We don’t come here often. Maybe twice a month but when I tell you the waiter doesn’t know my name but he knows my food ! lol and he asks me slight variations but he knows I’m gonna get the butter chicken and a Coke with ice! And garlic naan. The food is delicious. I take any extra sauce home and dip my bred in it for lunch the next day ! Just go !

The buffet food temp was cold. When mentioned to staff, they acknowledged that was a common complaint. Upon further review, DPH has previously cited them for it.Tastes delicious, just not safe.

I love the food here! It's fresh, beautifully spiced and the cost is super reasonable for what you get. My faves are the Navratan Korma (a veggie dish that is creamy, sweet and savory) and the Eggplant Bhartha (a hearty dish perfect for a chilly day. And don't get me started on the garlic naan; delicious! Admittedly, I've never eaten in here but have gotten it to go or had it delivered many times and I'm never disappointed. Highly recommend.

Run, don't walk to this restaurant. I've lived here for over 10 years and knew nothing about this hidden treasure. If you don't know what to get, go for the buffet. I didn't know what half of the items were, but I know that they were all delicious. I'm a person who said I'd never eat tofu, and guess what? I tried AND liked it. The buffet is 14 dollars and drinks are extra, but it's worth it. I as told that the items vary by day, so I guess I'll have to go often, right? The tandoori chicken with the creamy onion sauce? My fave.
