My friend and I visited what we hoped would be a delightful Mexican restaurant, but unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare. I ordered the double burritos, empanadas, and my friend gave me one of her corns. My friend had ordered the street corn, and the cheesy rice with meat. Within a few hours, we both experienced severe stomach cramps, nausea, and other symptoms of food poisoning.

The experience after was incredibly unpleasant, and it completely ruined our night. We should’ve known better when the food tasted decent and not delicious. I suspect the ingredients used were not fresh, or the food wasn't prepared with proper hygiene standards. It's concerning that a restaurant could serve food that leads to such a severe reaction.

I would strongly advise against dining at this establishment. The risk of food poisoning is simply not worth it as I’m still suffering to this day. Save yourself the discomfort and potential health issues by choosing a different Mexican restaurant that prioritizes food safety and quality.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I came in hoping to enjoy a nice dinner with my older sister, whom I hadn’t seen in years due to us being on opposite sides of the world because of the military.
I arrived on December 18th around 7:30 PM. When I walked in, there were two employees behind the hostess stand(a male and a female) both on their phones. The male glanced at me, said something to the female, then got up and walked away. The female never once looked up from her phone to greet or seat me. I stood there for about a minute and a half before deciding to walk toward the bar to seat myself.
On the way, I ran into a taller male who appeared to be a manager. I asked if he was the manager, and he replied, “No, but how can I help you?” I explained that I needed to be seated and that the hostess was on her phone and ignoring me. He said he would take care of it shortly, and within about 30 seconds, he found a table for me.
As he was seating me, he spoke to another employee in Spanish. When he turned back to me, he explained that he had informed the manager that I had been waiting and that the hostess never looked up from her phone. He then apologized and said, “She always does that. she only does that to Black people.”
That was it. No follow-up, no apology from management, nothing. I didn’t serve and fight for this GREAT country to be ignored and overlooked at a restaurant because of the color of my skin. It’s nearly 2026, and this behavior is absolutely unacceptable. It was disgusting, and I will never step foot in this establishment again.
The only positive part of this experience was my server, who provided exceptional service. Under normal circumstances, I would have left immediately, but I chose to stay and bless the one person who treated me like the human being I am.

Called to place an order and young lady marked up same combo 3$ call in price 14.95 door dash price 11.something... what's really going on here? Sure was in the mood for Mexican..😕

The food was delicious!! Our family of 7 stopped in after a graduation from Augusta U. This place was my nieces favorite after her 4 years of being in AU. We love a good Mexican restaurant and this one did not disappoint. To start, the cheese dip is delicious and the salsa comes in hot and mild. For the main dish, the meat for the enchiladas (especially the beef) and the taco meat were so good.
Even the birria pizza was amazing. Of course I tasted a little bit of everything 😂. The only thing I wasn't the greatest fan of was the texas margarita. I didn't like the sour mix used. Other than this it was a great meal.

I was nervous because of the reviews i read, but overall, the food, the service and the atmosphere were perfect!!

Chips were cold do you really call this salsa(no flavor just liquid) food was very poor, not much seasonings at all, the 5 guys at the bar were loud and obnoxious

Ordered chicken wings & sample plate . Wings had rubbery skin. Sample plate pretty plain tasting. The drink was flat. My god daughter didn't eat any of it .

I got the lunch Steak Tacos Plate. Half my steak was black and crunchy... Not enjoyable at all. The rice and beans that came with the plate were both overcooked or old and reheated just like the steak. There was only one time the server tried to refill my drink and my cup was gone for 10 minutes until she returned it with my check and I am not drinking a water from a cup that has been gone from my table for 10 minutes and still had my old lemon in it... Very disappointed compared to the Washington road location.

The best Mexican spot here in Augusta. Had the steak pollo with hot pepper and corn on the cob. It was amazing and seasoned just right.

4/5. Great food portions. My girl steak was a big overcooked. The drinks were decent ! Could of been a bit better was the flavor however it no less than what I gave!

2025-08: Had a nice dinner on the porch recently. Barbara, our server, was super sweet and pleasant. The restaurant and porch were well kept and the food was delicious. Would recommend.
