I ordered Pounded yam and Egusi once here from DoorDash and the food was really good so I ordered a second time and was highly disappointed threw up the whole order.

I walked in and asked about my order and was told OK. I don't know if there wasn't enough spice or what but it definitely did not taste the same . Won't be returning. The pounded yam was very wet and soggy, not used to that quality.

I’ve visited 4-5 times and the food is absolutely delicious! It was my first time trying West African food and I’m addicted!

Also, the customer service is top tier. The owner checks on patrons who dine in to ensure everything’s okay. I will definitely continue dining here when I’m in the area. Highly recommended…

First time trying Ayo and the food is very delicious. I could use a little more soup but I ain't gone complain. I'm thankful for Yah allowing me to have food. There's a lot of starving people out here.

Wanted to try fufu for the first time and went here with no experience! The server was so nice, helpful, listened to what we liked/wanted and basically ordered for us and it was so good! Low key place filled with kind people. Definitely recommend!

The jollof rice was extremely tasteless. I felt like I was eating hospital food or food made for someone who has high b.p. no spice, no flavor and no I'm pretty sure no salt. The goat meat was well cooked tho. Sad that a restaurant called ayo cooks such tasteless NO SPICE food. Smh

Egusi soup is a hit every single time. Always hot, fresh and flavorful. I've had the beef, goat and fish egusi soup and they are all delicious. I'm sure you can't go wrong with a dish from here

Food is good but very over priced, small portions, and the inside does not have a welcoming lounge atmosphere. It feels like you can barely sit in there and have a nice sit down meal.

I went to eat to buy me and mother some food the fact that the man told me wait till 15 mins because there cleaning a kitchen is insane also sucking your teeth , because I said I’m going to go, when I walked in at 8:05 and you said 8:15 then tried to switch it up , who wants to wait for food to start to be cooked 15 mins later then I told you I have my mother with me you said give you 8 mins for what the kitchen to be clean …. Doesn’t even make since . Moral of the story nobody once wait to place an order 25 mins later you need a better cleaning routine and customer service. Two thumbs down.
