Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

This Golden Krust my husband, daughter and I found is an absolute gem! The food is simply delicious, bursting with authentic flavors that make every visit memorable. Their customer service is exceptional—not only are they incredibly accommodating, but they also go the extra mile to ensure guests have a wonderful experience. They even offer samples of dishes you may not have tried before, making each visit a true culinary adventure. I love to eat there…. The food is mouthwatering…. It’s a variety of selections the staff is well mannered and the delivery of the food is on time….

Vegetarian options: They have the spinach rice and other vegetarian options like the idle peas, okra stew and more…. It’s great….

I ordered red pea soup via grub hub. Clearly on the menu it said nothing about special days.

They waited over an hour for the driver to get there to call and tell me they don’t have red pea soup and offered me goat soup.

Why would you wait all that time to tell me you don’t have my order?!!! Horrible customer service. They didn’t even apologize. Very dismissive.

Over priced and expensive if you modify your plate and the staff isn't that friendly for the prices of the food.

Let me first say I used to love this location. On 9/23/24 I stopped at the location on Austell Rd for lunch around 11am. The manager was there and the server was very nice. I ordered stew chicken which was good although the portion was small. I returned again on 9/25 at around 2pm and there was the African American lady with the short hair and super long nails who always have a stink attitude. She was the only one there serving. Besides her attitude, my problem with her in the many times that I have gone there is that she does not wash her hands or wear gloves (her nails may be too long). As I was waiting for my turn to be served, I watched her go from touching money at the register to serving food without washing her hands or wearing gloves. It doesn't take long to clean your hands. I immediately left without getting anything and I went to the GK located in Hiram. They are very clean there and feel comfortable eating at that location. I thought after Covid people would be more cautious. Cross contamination/Food poisoning is very real. Please please address proper handwashing with your workers, especially the African American lady with the super long nails.

I’m just tired of the attitudes and unprofessional staff. Inconsistent service and availability of menu items. Is it a joke? Seems like their favorite line is “we nuh ‘av dat” Maybe open on time would be nice or same schedule for all locations

It seems the service of this golden crust has changed tremendously for the worse. My wife and I come here occasionally to buy their food and they don't disappoint with the service and portion but this year has been disappointing.
The picture shows a large curry goat meal with rice & peas but the rationing is that of a small size and I am disappointed really. Don't come in the evening when they are out of dishes because that is when they start reducing portions.

If you want something close to Caribbean home cooked Gk Austell is the perfect place man when I tell you about the food.. the atmosphere plus customer service excellent….
