False advertisement… I thought the rice would come WITH chicken but it didn’t…. It was not too bad but there should be better clarification

I really don’t know what happened to what I once considered to be an acceptable option for a decent Chinese Restaurant in my area; off Austell Road. Since I last ate a meal from Green Lotus, clearly a lot has changed for the worse. Just please take my advice and stay away from Green Lotus and keep searching for a decent Chinese Restaurant, unless you already know of one. While it has been several months or a year perhaps, Green Lotus was my go to place when I wanted Chinese food. Definitely not anymore, even if it were free I’d still have to say, “thanks but no thanks “. Today I spent almost $39.00 for Chicken Fried Rice that was dark brown, mushy, cold with chips of chicken pieces that didn’t look or taste anything like the CFR they used to make; Sweet n Sour Chicken that was not fresh, dried out, cold and tough to digest; Mongolian Beef with; while the flavor was ok, it was the toughest Beef I’ve ever had in MB and was impossible for me to chew, let alone swallow; it was at least warm. What happened to the Cream Cheese in the Crab Rangoon? all I could taste was sweet inside a tough pastry shell. The Wanton noodle in the soup was mushy and the Hot n Sour Soup was awfully salty, too spicy and nothing like the soup I used to love. Against my better judgment, I did attempt to eat the food since I had paid for it and boy, that was a big mistake! I ended up with the worst excruciating pain of indigestion/heartburn I honestly haven’t had in years. I knew something was wrong when I walked in and saw all the tables and chairs stacked and piled up and the man behind the counter wasn’t well groomed; in the least. The man was at least friendly which is an improvement from the previous man who used to be very rude. If I had to choose between the rude man or the terrible food, the rude man would win; hands down. I didn’t ask but with food being drastically different, I assume Green Lotus has new owners or management. I would have come out better even buying a frozen Chinese meal from the grocery store. However; stay clear of this now Green Lotus if you don’t want to feel cheated out of your money and get bad indigestion/heartburn, or worse. I DO NOT recommend this place FOR ANYTHING!

I ordered two entrees on purpose because I had never tried it before. The chicken and broccoli did not have a lot of flavor but the General Tso's Chicken was flavorful and delicious! The wonton from the wonton soup was way too soft....overcooked but I will go back and try other dishes.

One of my best restaurants, it is only for pick up and take away your food, the place is alone. I love the flavor, with generous portions and no more than $15 dollars.

Sometimes they won’t put utensils in the bags. The guy never seems happy to be there or to see anyone at all. The food is ok.

We need to stop going to these places immediately. The guy who takes the orders is rude and ignorant. Wouldn't even give me a spoon for the soup. It's amazing how they act stupid after you pay for your order. Stay away. Don't believe me, try them. They won't even give you napkins. Will never again go here. Tell everyone!

Worst take out ever. We’ve tried 3 times with different dishes. Nothing is ever cooked well, even fried rice, which is hard to screw up. I recommend Peking Garden if you want quality takeout Chinese.

The BOY at the register is very rude ( cashier) that makes this place not good. They need to get rid of him before he chase everyone away.

Green Lotus is my go-to for local Chinese food. The vegetables are fresh. They always prepare my food per my request. Dine in is not available yet. I am hoping they will soon. Food tastes so much better when it is eaten as soon as it is cooked into the plates.So. When you are placing an order for more than one you must specify if the order is:1. Two bags - one ticket2. Two bags - two ticketsThat makes the process go smooth and (forget his name) him happy ?I've been going to Green Lotus for 10 years or close to it.P.S. please have your "Dine In" open. People will come. Your food is awesome!!

The cashier is completely rude. He has NO customer service. I’ve heard about his rude behavior before but today I got to experience it firsthand. He’s vindictive. He claims he’s the owner but I find that extremely hard to believe because an owner would not speak to customers that way. Not to mention there is no more seating so you can’t dine in. It’s like they just want to take your money and get you out of there as soon as possible. TERRIBLE customer service all the way around. Go give your money to a business who will actually appreciate it, NOT this place.

This is not a place to sit down and have 3 Michelin star dinning. It IS the best place to order some absolutely top notch Chinese take-out, with no pomp, but simply delicious flavors fast and consistent experience! Worth every penny and my wife and I do not look elsewhere.
