It took a lot for me to post this review because I truly do not like tearing anyone or any business down. Being that this is a Black-owned business made me hesitate even more. However, the service my family and I received was extremely unacceptable.
I came to this restaurant to celebrate my little sister’s birthday. We were a party of 8 and arrived around 7:00 PM. I understand restaurants can be short-staffed and food can take time, but that was not the case this night. Despite that, we did not receive food until around 9:00 PM, and everyone’s food came out at different times. Even then, no one complained—we enjoyed each other’s company while waiting.
I personally ordered wings. Although they were very large, they were not edible and tasted as if they were bad or had been sitting out. The sauce was great, but the wings themselves were not. Because we had already waited two hours and I had already paid (since tabs were printed as food came out in pieces), I did not want to complain. Instead, I asked the waiter if I could exchange my wings for a burger, which cost less than what I originally paid.
The waiter stated she checked with the manager and that the exchange was approved. After that, I waited an additional 40 minutes before the waiter returned to ask what I wanted on the burger. By this point 2 hours and 40 minutes later my sister’s entire party had already left, and we were the last ones still waiting on food. At that time, I asked to speak with the manager and requested a refund instead.
While standing near the bar, the kitchen was clearly visible. The staff, who did not appear short-handed, were gathered together talking about the burger we were still waiting on. The manager then informed us that refunds are not given and that he had stopped the staff from making the burger because exchanges are not allowed.
This was a major issue because we were told earlier by staff our waiter that the exchange was approved by management. If exchanges are against policy, that is understandable, but staff must be properly trained and aware of those policies. There were also no signs posted stating “no refunds” or “final sale,” neither on the menu nor anywhere in the establishment.
Because of this confusion and lack of communication, my sister’s birthday night was ruined. By that point, our appetite was gone, and we left with food I neither ate nor intended to receive. The manager was very rude and unreceptive to criticism. As a manager, feedback should be taken as an opportunity to improve, not dismissed.
For context, there were only two other parties( a party of 2 and 3) in the restaurant besides ours at the time. Unsure why the wait was long but again things could happen..
I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, as better communication, staff training, and customer service would make a huge difference.

Great food, Great service! Shout out to our server, Nikole! We enjoyed the crab cakes, alligator bites, shrimp and grits and the catfish! Everything was on point! Will definitely visit again soon!

Business charges an illegal charge for their band. They don’t have it posted apon arriva… I don’t mind paying it if I’d of known about it but let me be the one to do this, when brought to the owners attention he instead avoided me and my request he also told me that it’s a sign outside stating the charge….. he thought I was to intoxicated to see that he was lying to avoid consequences….. I should’ve called the police. But I am a returning and thought we could handle it amicably. Instead I was treated unfairly and called “broke” I then paid my tab tipped my sever VERY well and I left! This was a very unfortunate situation and I don’t wish to patronize this business again!!! Black businesses are struggling in Atlanta as a whole!!! We gotta do better! I will also be posting my review and experiences on all of my social media platforms “to the owner shame on you! You make an already failing city look worse you’re part of the problem!!!! Ps. I had wings fries and to margaritas

Great red snapper music atmosphere and drinks

First impression visit. Party of 12. 5:30PM on a Saturday.
Free parking lot! No validation required. Easy to park.
We ordered the crab cake, rockafeller oysters, Calamari, fried whiting with corn and coleslaw, fried oysters with Zucchini fries and fried corn, crab legs, and salmon with cajun rice and fried corn. I paid for everything except the calamari and the fried oysters and my total was $92.91 before tip.
Pros
There was music playing. Enough to hear and dance to but can still have a conversation. The environment and contemporary decor is nice.
The service was great. Our waiter, Dashawn, is kind and attentive. He made us feel like we were his only table, which is hard to do with a large party. He was always there when a drink was needed and we never waited too long before he would show up again to ask if everything was okay.
The food is good. My salmon was grilled perfectly and the portion sizes on the fried fish are huge. On the fried whiting, we received 3 fried fillets as long as the plate along with the 2 sides. The fried corn was interesting and I thought it was delicious. It gave a savory crunch to the sweet corn inside and the coating wasn't too thick.

20% gratuity on all tables AND to go orders.
Please note there are rules with this establishment.
The calamari was seasoned very well but it wasn't as hot as I thought it should be. It was warm- not cold but not hot.
The cajun rice was again, seasoned very well, but it left a puddle of grease on my plate. You can see it in my pictures on the right side of the salmon.
10. Would I Recommend: Yes, just be aware of the rules and tipping policy. Ask for Dashawn, if available.

First timer at this establishment. Everyone in my party enjoyed the food. Our only complaint was having to purchase bottled water for the table. Restaurants generally provide glasses of water to patrons.
I’ve experienced this only one other time, and of course it was one of ours… It’s just the principle of it all. This nickel and dime culture of unnecessary fees needs to end. It’s a turn off.
