Omg this little hole in the wall is amazing! The hot dogs are authentic Chicago dogs! The fries delicious! I had a chocolate milkshake that was the perfect finish! It was so busy by such a eclectic group of people! All walks of life enjoy this place!

I had the Beef Combo. I was ver very very displeased with my sandwich on toady. It was mostly onions and hardly any meat at all. I called and spoke with Phillip and his attitude was very unprofessional to me!!! My order # was 16.

I used to babysit for the Shababy's when they were getting their first restaurant, Skip's, up and running. I wasn't able to support their endeavor until recently. I enjoyed a sausage dog w/onion rings and my daughter enjoyed a hotdog and fries.The cashier did not know the name Shababy - seems a shame that employees don't know the background of the place they work.~ Angel

When you want a Chicago dog without the hassle of going to Chicago. This is the real deal. Vienna beef. Poppyseed bun. Pickle, hot peppers, tomatoes, and celery salt. When I want the real deal….One thing to note. These guys steam the bun. I always ask for a non steamed bun. I can’t stand soggy bread.

Will definitely go back! This was mine and my sisters first experience here along with our Dad, who'd been here many times. We said we'd like to bring our individual families here to experience it too. We all had the Italian beef sandwiches. Our Dad had his dipped and we had au jus on the side. Dad had fries and we had the onion rings. Those were the best onion rings but I wish they gave you a few more especially with the upcharge. The fries were fresh and hot as well. Highly recommend, I wish they were closer and want to try other menu options. Great first impressions!3/29/24 Skip's doesn't disappoint. I'm more disappointed in myself for not trying their chili dog yet! I went there specifically for one and I got curfuffled by the lest side menu and totally missed the other two! But, I got the Italian beef with bell peppers instead of hot peppers this time with onion rings. All on point and worth it. I'll absolutely be going back for that chili dog though!

Skips Chicago Dogs was excellent for lunch. It was true to Chicago roots. The hot dogs and Italian beef tasted like I never left Chicago. The fries were also a great add on to the meal. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back when in Atlanta.

I don't frequent Decatur often, but when I get the chance I always enjoy coming to Skips. Friendly staff and great hot dogs. Onion rings were also an A+. Definitely give the hot tamale a try too.
Always been impressed at the service. The food is good and the price is right. As long as the quality for the value stays the same, I keep coming back.
