meeting. The food, I thought, was about average. The service was great. But the table and seating area was very cramped. It all just seemed a bit sub par. Maybe an off day so I will try it again.

As someone that lives in Ball Ground and is really looking forward to downtown Ball Ground taking off, this establishment is AWFUL!! Have been there a couple of times and it is alway the same - BAD. On my last visit, I set a low a bar - WINGS. I mean how can you mess up wings. Well....BGT figured out how to do it! The wings were awful. However, more of note, was the 'manager'. From the time we set down until the time we left (~ 60 minutes) the 'manager' (or at least someone that 'worked there' who was wearing slacks and a semi-pressed shirt) spent the ENTIRE time talking to ONE table! While too far away to hear the conversation, I am quite sure that they were not discussing the nuances of the menu.
Don't waste your time visiting this establishment. There are a couple of other places in BG that merit note - Choate BBQ, Dominics, Burger Bus......Pass on this one.

Great local tavern, but it could be more with some updates! Food and service are good, but the interior is dated and dark with blue cinder blocks. I definitely would visit here more if it had a more inviting interior. We ate outside one time, and while the staff did their best to shade the sun, it was just too much and we ended up sitting at the bar.

Tasty & reasonably priced! It's right on Main St in Ballground, with easy public parking nearby. This is a small, cozy place. Waiter-bartender was very nice, efficient, and attentive. Not fancy or fine, but a great place to go with friends for a beer & bites.
There was a hair in my food the wings were dry and loaded Fry's soggy. Was very disappointed.

My husband and I decided to try Ball Ground Tavern for a dinner date. When we first arrived, there was no one eating inside. There did seem to be a few people eating outside on the back patio from what I could tell. The service was strong at first, and we got our drinks and appetizer quickly. We ordered the choriqueso on the menu. For me, it was too greasy, and I only took a few bites. My husband thought it was okay and ended up finishing it throughout our dinner. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, and he ordered the waffle Nachos with steak and lemon pepper wings. He did try to order the potato soup but was told they didn't have it anymore after the server put our order with the kitchen. This was fine, but they may want to update their menu or mention it when we first tried to order it. After a bit, the waffle Nachos and the wings came out, but my soup did not. We thought they would be going back to get it, but that didn't happen. I will say my husband said the wings were good. We ended up sharing the waffle Nachos, which were yummy. However, my soup still not had come out. After about 10 minutes, our server came to check on us and our food. This is when we had to remind them about my soup, which they had forgotten. They went to the kitchen and had to tell them to make it (I guess?). This ended up being about another 15 minutes, and we ended up just asking them to change it to a to go order. We had finished all of the other food at this time. I'm not sure if the server was having a bad day or what happened, but it was frustrating to never get the food I ordered during dinner. The food was good and the prices were okay. The atmosphere was also okay. The service could have been much better, which is why I'm giving an overall 2. We will probably not go back unless we order everything to go. Hopefully, this was a one-time thing, and maybe we caught them on a bad day.

I went here on 11/8 and I witnessed the bartender put a straw in my wife's drink, take it out to taste the drink then put the same straw back into drink to taste it again! When I confronted him about what I saw, he acknowledged that it happened and offered to make another drink. I can guarantee that this is standard practice for him and who knows what else he may do that would fly under the radar. Absolutely disgusting and I'll be sure to let everyone know about this as I know this particular guy is a staple at this establishment and I have seen him working at the other restaurants that belong to the owners of the Ball Ground Tavern.
