Never disappointed with anything from Melissa’s 🥰 thank you for the most beautiful and delicious cakes. We had a German chocolate and strawberry shortcake. Incredible!!! 🤩

You know to me It sounds like most these one star reviews could have been avoided if people would realize that almost and of Melissa's staff could take orders y'all can't expect a very busy person such as Melissa to drop every thing for your order. Talk to the other staff and at least get you order started 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!! It makes it so much easier for the staff overall and causes less inconvenience that's why the say typically prefer 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE.

Unfortunately I never had a chance to try anything because the customer service is terrible. I called to order a graduation cake for my granddaughter. The person that answered said Melissa would call back, but after a week she never did. I called them again only to find out she’d be out of town. Obviously she couldn’t be bothered to let me know. On another occasion my husband went in to see if he could order a red velvet cake for a birthday. Melissa was talking to a friend, which my husband said was evident from the conversation. He said he waited and waited and finally she decided to acknowledge him. She told him she would need at least two weeks notice. For a simple plain cake??? She was rude through the conversation which is unsurprising since she ignored him to visit with her friend. It doesn’t matter if she’s a good baker, because she gives horrible customer service. I wouldn’t trust her to get it done or on time.

MAGNIFICENT SERVICE…..I was left stranded when Harry and David (BOO!) could not fulfill a special birthday gift order at the last minute…..after scrambling….I came across Melissa’s Custom cakes…..I called and spoke to Melissa….who rescued me with SAME DAY DELIVERY!!!! Lesson learned GO LOCAL!! Better service, better quality-product, better value, and a more personal experience!!! THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE DAY, Melissa’s Custom Cakes!!!!! This place makes fantastic sweet goodies, from cakes to pie to other delicious treats. My wife ordered four pies from here. One Apple, one Blueberry, one Cherry, and one Pumpkin and they were all so delicious. We have also bought macrons, and my Mother In-law order here wedding cake from there. All Sweetly so delectably made.

My husband ordered a carrot cake for my 70th birthday. It exceeded all expectations! It was beautiful and very delicious. He went in on Monday, not knowing they were closed on Mondays- they not only took his order but honored his special request. Thank you and him for a wonderful surprise.

Our Daughter lives in Blairsville and her Mother and I live in West Tennessee.
Yesterday she brought us your pecan pie.
We took a vote after eating a big slice and definitely decided it’s the best pecan pie we’ve ever eaten!

Melissa made our daughter’s wedding cakes. The couple chose multiple flavors during the tasting, and the result was a fun and delicious added element to the reception. Many people said the cakes were so good that they went back to try multiple flavors. There wasn’t a single piece of cake left at the end of the night! They also made the petit fours for the bridal shower, which were perfectly color-matched to the invitation and so delicious! I cannot recommend Melissa’s highly enough. Plus, she supports veterans!

Good desserts, but terrible communication - especially since we were planning on using them for our wedding. We emailed 6-7 times and she got back to us 1 week before the wedding saying she doesn't check her email - and that we should've called.

Ironically, we each called 3 times, and I even spoke to Melissa directly twice - asking if we were still on and if we could get the contract. Each time she said she'd send it soon but never ended up contacting us until the week before. She said she "sent" the contract, but it was a photo of quote, nothing that we could sign and definitely not a contract.

If you live nearby and can go in person, things may be easier, but if you live far away, expect to have issues with communication.
