“Food and drinks were very good but we had just walked in a little after 9 p.m. on a Friday night and were told it was last call due to not being busy enough (the website says they are open until 11). The place looked packed when we walked in so I'm not sure why they were closing early and could have made another $100 or so based on the number of people in our group. The death of this place will be its unreliable close time.”

“Melissa's Cakes are by far the best. We traveled from Fl to GA for our wedding. Lucky for us we decided to check them out. SOOO glad we did. From the cake tasting and creating the desserts and setting up the dessert table everything was far above superb. We had Lemon with raspberry filling for our cake and cupcakes, along with 3 other flavor cupcakes; strawberry with lemon mousse filling, red velvet with chocolate mousse filling, and hummingbird with lemon mousse (which if you haven't tried you really need to). We also had the Buckeye's and some of the bark they make..there was none left...lol..everyone loved all of it..Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job on everything!!!”

“Just beautiful! One of a kind items plus the delicious ice cream. The back deck over looking the river is so relaxing as you eat your ice cream and watch the river tubers come in. The experience is hard to put into words but I will say I intend to go as often as possible. The tubing guy Hank is super cool, handsome and such a gentleman! The owner, Melissa has museum quality displays of family memorabilia to see and enjoy as well. One of my favorite things to purchase is the locally made jams and soaps. Love love this place!”

“Flying Trout Restaurant My mother recently passed away, and we were searching for the right place to host her funeral luncheon. We tried several restaurants in Blairsville, but either they couldn’t accommodate us or the experience didn’t feel appropriate for honoring such a wonderful woman. We wanted the setting to truly reflect her life and spirit. My aunt spoke with Melissa at Flying Trout, and from the very beginning she was exceptional. When I stopped by to discuss table setup and connecting a laptop, she immediately stopped what she was doing and personally came over to help. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail meant more than she probably knows. I spent over 30 years working in restaurants and country clubs in nearly every position, so I understand how challenging it can be to serve a group of 20+ people during an emotional gathering where guests are moving around, talking, and grieving. Melissa and her team handled everything with absolute grace. The waitstaff was patient, sympathetic, and genuinely caring throughout the entire event. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was impeccable. It brought comfort to our family during a very difficult time, and I truly believe my mother would have been pleased with how beautifully everything was handled. My heart is full of gratitude. “Great BBQ, however, I ate at the Rib Country in Cleveland 3-4 times a month with my family until you recently increased the prices. It was expensive before, but the BBQ was good. The price has officially become too outrageous for a family to eat out. Good luck with your business, but I will no longer eat at your establishment until the price can be reduced to a more reasonable rate.”

“Hunt Brothers Pizza is a great pizza for anybody searching for really good tasting food the employees are always very respectful their Pizza is also never undercooked or overcooked it is always just right with a perfect amount of toppings”

“this isn't against the employees, this is against the employer. My son was hired in their Tin Roof Creamery. The ad for the job (have a screen shot) said the pay range was between 26k to 28k a year. That is a minimum of 12.50 an hour. When my son got his first paycheck, it was on his pay stub as 9.50 an hour. When he asked his boss she said everyone has to pay taxes. Then he was fired for not paying for a cup of coffee. In my opinion that is a retaliatory firing because he inquired about his pay. They also pool tips which is not illegal but there has to be transparency in the process and they can only require them to pool a reasonable amount. In my opinion you are better off going to McDonald's to get a job.”

“7/3/2024 Excellent little self serve (or can order off the menu) deli inside a gas station at Owl Town. 4 tables in a nice setting. Had the Bacon Egg and cheese biscuit. Large biscuit with lots of bacon. Very pleased.”

“Chef Brian is a true sushi master, he has amazing sushi creations. The place is clean and you can tell the staff really cares about what they do. I've had sushi all over the states and this is one of the best spots.”

“Went today with my family. We got roasted red pepper soup, fish and chips, and a burger. All 3 were fantastic. Portion sizes were also good. There was only 1 waitress and she was working hard to accommodate everyone. I can't wait to go back!”

“As for our stay at the lodge, it really is less like a hotel, and more like a relative's home; it's really that welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean and had all the comforts one would expect. The cherry on top was the very reasonable nightly rate. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for cozy stay in the area.

Many thanks to Denise for allowing us to check in early after a crazy downpour at our campsite in the early morning of our arrival date. She really provided exceptional service to my wife and I. Service like this is what creates repeat customers! Hope to return again one day.”

“Food was great . . . after an hour wait. Cannot even begin to understand why a restaurant owner would make everyone stand in line OutSide to finally get to place an order at the one and only register in the place. And the cashier/order taker then has to run each order back to the kitchen. It appears to be a profitable business (with such limited service and no waitresses to pay.) 2 of us spent nearly $80 (including a 15% tip). Food is good, and in my opinion, a little overpriced (like everything else these days.) Not sure how many folks, other than diehard fans, will go back a 2nd time.”

We had an outstanding experience at LongHorn Steakhouse thanks to our waiter, Luke. From the moment he greeted us, he was kind, efficient, and genuinely friendly, with a great sense of humor that made the meal even more enjoyable.

What really impressed us was how attentive and professional Luke remained while also taking care of a large party of 20. Despite the added pressure, he never missed a beat. Our orders were accurate, drinks were refilled promptly, and everyone felt well taken care of.

Luke is a true asset to the restaurant. His work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to handle a busy dining room with grace made our visit memorable. If you’re dining here, ask for Luke. You won’t be disappointed.”

The staff was friendly and welcoming, the restaurant was clean, and the food was fast, fresh, and cooked perfectly.

“The mobile thru is last priority now versus how easy the process was before the "remodel". I watched 5 cars that ordered AFTER me in the drive thru get their food and drive while I waited over 15 minutes for a lemonade and and ice cup in the mobile thru line. This is the 4th time I've been here since they reopened and it's clear that something drastic has changed in their training, leadership, priorities (at least at the drive thru), etc.....”
