“Flying Trout Restaurant My mother recently passed away, and we were searching for the right place to host her funeral luncheon. We tried several restaurants in Blairsville, but either they couldn’t accommodate us or the experience didn’t feel appropriate for honoring such a wonderful woman. We wanted the setting to truly reflect her life and spirit. My aunt spoke with Melissa at Flying Trout, and from the very beginning she was exceptional. When I stopped by to discuss table setup and connecting a laptop, she immediately stopped what she was doing and personally came over to help. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail meant more than she probably knows. I spent over 30 years working in restaurants and country clubs in nearly every position, so I understand how challenging it can be to serve a group of 20+ people during an emotional gathering where guests are moving around, talking, and grieving. Melissa and her team handled everything with absolute grace. The waitstaff was patient, sympathetic, and genuinely caring throughout the entire event. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was impeccable.
