“OMG y’all have to make this your go-to restaurant. The restaurant was welcoming, clean, and the team members are friendly! It was our first time and I’m so glad that I searched “soul food, Buford, GA” in Google Maps. I had the fried fish, Mac and cheese, and turnip greens with cornbread. My husband had the ribs, coleslaw, BBQ beans, and Mac and cheese. Our son had the brisket sandwich and fries. It was so tasty and delicious. We all left with leftovers and with smiles. “Ate here for the first time in years. Overall everything was fine with two exceptions. The menu listed vegetable soup and soup of the day. I asked the server what the soup of the day was and she said vegetable. So I asked why would they list two different soups if they were the same. She didn’t have an answer. I got the impression that she was real new and not fully trained. She was super nice so it really wasn’t too big if a deal. I just ordered the vegetable soup and have to say it wasn’t great. I know soup is mostly water but this really was the thinnest soup ever. It didn’t really have much vegetables either and was kind of like drinking flavored water. The rest of the food was fine, I had a combo of steak and chicken. I dint want breaded or fried chicken so I asked if I could get grilled tenders instead. She said she wasn’t sure and asked. I didn’t think that was a weird request but she checked and came back and said yes. The only thing was I received a breast as opposed to tenders. Again I was like whatever because it was all fine. I’ve never been a big fan of the overall atmosphere of the place. The tables seem kind of tight with each other and not very intimate. I think that’s just their idea of being at a family setting. You have to go up front to pay and that’s where it can really be an issue because people are buying store items as well and it really slows things down because they don’t have more than like two people checking out. I’m pretty sure it’s been like that in the past. Of course it could be because of being short staffed, especially since the pandemic where businesses need more help or a conscience decision. Either way it took a while to pay and that was the weakest part of the lunch.“

“Passing through a week ago and pulled this place up on Maps. Not going to lie, when it took us to a place in the gas station parking lot we were not sure but decided to go in and see what they had since there was a constant flow of people doing pickups. We had catfish, wings, chicken gizzards and it was all very good. The catfish was our favorite! Only 2 tables inside but not many folks were eating in, mostly call ahead for pickup. To top it off, I accidentally left my purse on the back of the seat and didn’t realize until we were back home 2 hours away. In a panic, I called and they had just found it and put in the office for me to go back to pick up the next day. Not only hood food but trustworthy people as well!!! I’d definitely go back next time I’m in the area to support these folks.“

Was hoping for a shrimp and grits on the menu, but with that said let me say that what I had was delicious. I had the raspberry mimosa, toasted croissant with chicken salad, and the cucumber salad. “Whoever is currently managing this branch is doing an outstanding management. This is the cleanest and delicious buffet restaurant in Cumming Forsyth County. Their steak is very tender and tasty. “Food was excellent!! We actually went for breakfast two days in a row. The 1st day we had Grits, smash browns with Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuit. We decided to go back the next day and had the Apple Cinnamon Waffles, absolutely amazing. Service was on point both days and tis the season, they asked your favorite Halloween Movie was instead of your name, and called by the Halloween movie you gave them when the food was ready!! Love the locations, parking was easy and you can stroll downtown Duluth after breakfast. We were not from this area so it was a treat to enjoy a great breakfast and see parts of downtown. We will recommend this location!!
