Had the pulled pork, brisket & ribs. Pork was good, brisket was moist and fatty, ribs were very dry. Coleslaw was ok and tots with chicken was good.
Very disappointed by the ribs.

Southern BBQ Bliss with Pet‑Friendly Flair

From the moment you arrive, it feels like stepping into a Southern home—complete with extra sugar and 100% hospitality. The pet-loving owners roll out the red carpet for both you and your furry family members. Their spacious pet-friendly deck means no one gets left out of the joy, especially pups who appreciate a shaded spot and a water bowl.

Service & Ambience
Friendly, down-to-earth staff greet you with genuine smiles—service that’s warm and welcoming, just like the South. Several reviewers say the owners personally check in to make sure everything’s going well ).

Portion Size & Value
Expect large servings that leave bellies full and hearts happy.

Flavor Profile
Their hickory-smoked meats—pulled pork, brisket, chicken—are slow-cooked and juicy. We had brisket plate with two sides. Food was fresh and delicious

Pet-Friendly Vibes
The outdoor deck isn’t just pet-friendly—it’s a highlight. Guests love bringing their dogs, and the owners make it special with bowls and shade.
Owner paid special attention to our big baby. Brought him treats and asked multiple times if we needed water for him

Best barbecue in the world. Cannot rave about this place enough. Want to go back to blue ridge just for their barbecue. And the owners are so nice!! Definitely make this a stop if you’re in the area

Ridiculously over priced for such small portions. $30 wasted
EDIT: they saw my review and brought me a sausage and a cupcake.

Food was amazing!
Tater tot’s were so well seasoned and crispy.
We got the brisket sandwhiches and they were fresh and amazing!

Cook and owner were both so friendly & the atmosphere was inviting. We will be making another stop before we leave town!

Awful! We’ve been coming to this restaurant for 7 years as out of towners visiting. By far the worst year with the service being awful. The lady at the cash register was not friendly and rude. The food was horrible! The prices are ridiculous for what they serve. Don’t waste your time going. You’ll be disappointed.

I ordered the pulled pork and brisket platter with collared greens and cole slaw. It did not disappoint! It can be tough to find great, fast, and friendly service in a crowded touristy location like here, but that's exactly what my family and I experienced at this Blue Ridge Mountain BBQ joint! Even my 3 year old twin grandsons approve! Enjoy their famous smoked chicken salad!

I agree with the other reviews. Overpriced, dry meat. Very disappointing.
We would recommend finding somewhere else to eat.

125$ we had family in from out of town for a party there was hair in the food and the chicken was definitely microwaved. 87 health code score btw. STAY AWAY it was awful

i’ve never had a worse experience in a restaurant in my life. my family has gone here for years and we tried it again after the remodel. the $4 mac and cheese was completely watered down and tasteless. i went to put sauce on my DRY pork and the bottle exploded all over my face and my family. the owner who SAW ME WITH BBQ SAUCE ALL OVER MYSELF,
was not at all concerned. not a word from the owner other than, “i was busy”…. she was more concerned about selling my grandma “lava rock” bracelets. wish there was a 0 star option.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would! We have been going to this establishment for the past 15years! 1st of all it is under new ownership! Owner is not friendly @ all! Former owners were AMAZING! She seemed very spaced out while trying to take our order! We received our food which was subpar! Before new ownership the bbq, Smoked chicken salad, fried pickle spears & corn nuggets were a must have on our multiple mountain trips every year! Now portions are much smaller, price is higher…a side of mac and cheese (which was mostly water?) was $4.00. Once we received our food my daughter attempted to use the squeeze bottle of barbecue sauce when the entire bottle top ruptured and barbecue sauce went everywhere on all of us! No help was offered, someone removed the bottle during our chaos of going to the bathroom to try and wash off the disaster which was everywhere! I approached the new owner and suggested that some help would have been a nice gesture...her response was "I was busy" WTH...there was no one there but us @ that moment! WOW...we will NEVER stop here ever again! Don't waste a trip the food and service were TERRIBLE! The new owner is a disgrace!
