i’ve never had a worse experience in a restaurant in my life. my family has gone here for years and we tried it again after the remodel. the $4 mac and cheese was completely watered down and tasteless. i went to put sauce on my DRY pork and the bottle exploded all over my face and my family. the owner who SAW ME WITH BBQ SAUCE ALL OVER MYSELF,
was not at all concerned. not a word from the owner other than, “i was busy”…. she was more concerned about selling my grandma “lava rock” bracelets. wish there was a 0 star option.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would! We have been going to this establishment for the past 15years! 1st of all it is under new ownership! Owner is not friendly @ all! Former owners were AMAZING! She seemed very spaced out while trying to take our order! We received our food which was subpar! Before new ownership the bbq, Smoked chicken salad, fried pickle spears & corn nuggets were a must have on our multiple mountain trips every year! Now portions are much smaller, price is higher…a side of mac and cheese (which was mostly water?) was $4.00. Once we received our food my daughter attempted to use the squeeze bottle of barbecue sauce when the entire bottle top ruptured and barbecue sauce went everywhere on all of us! No help was offered, someone removed the bottle during our chaos of going to the bathroom to try and wash off the disaster which was everywhere! I approached the new owner and suggested that some help would have been a nice gesture...her response was "I was busy" WTH...there was no one there but us @ that moment! WOW...we will NEVER stop here ever again! Don't waste a trip the food and service were TERRIBLE! The new owner is a disgrace!

Customer service was horrendous. We waited for well over an hour for two sandwiches, fried pickles, and chicken salad. About 35 minutes after we ordered, people in line were told they were all out of food. This was at 1:30, only 90 minutes after they opened for the day. When I finally went up to ask for my money back, I was told that I had been warned it would be an hour wait (no, she didn't warn me). She acted annoyed that I finally gave up on waiting for my food, never apologized that our meals never came out after over 60 minutes. I'd never go back.

Ridiculously long wait for a BBQ sandwich. I don’t know if the kitchen just opened as the started serving folks or they were so focused on the drive-thru, but one shouldn’t have to wait in excess of 30 minutes for a simple sandwich. They aren’t even incredibly busy. Everyone is waiting.

We ate pulled pork and chicken sandwiches along with the best baked beans, french fries and onion rings. We eat a lot of BBQ and I'd say this is one if the best.

Very friendly folk, food was better than here at home but for the price portions were small.

Brought me ribs with green and white mold on them and then replaced them with "fresh" ones that had freezer burn on them.

Visiting Blue Ridge and stopped in for some BBQ. Size of the barbecue sandwich was extremely small not much meat at all. At the cash register when checking out, I was given all of my change in bills with the exception of seven cents in change. When I returned to the counter to ask why I did not receive the exact amount, the cashier told me “most people leave change for a tip”. I guess she just decided on her own to keep my change. I realize it was only 7 cents. The point is she deceptively stole money that did not belong to her. I was shocked that a business owner, if that’s what she was, would assume I wanted to leave a tip without giving me the choice to do so with my own money. Also, I guess she didn’t like that I asked for not only my money back, but two other friends I was eating with. She made it a point to yell out when we left “you ladies have a nice day”. A dig of course in very poor taste. Would not waste your time or money here.

I read the reviews and didn’t listen. The food is expensive and the portions are TINY. I was very surprised. The food isn’t very good. I was very disappointed.

I’m only sharing a negative to spare you from missing out. From Jasper to blue ridge we have some of the best bbq restaurants it’s hard to decide which is best. But this one, is a definite “not so great”.
While the service was good and the food came quickly, it was crazy expensive and not very good. My daughter got a burger than was nearly $20. That doesn’t seem like a bad price until you see the burger. It was so tiny. It was the size of a Wendy’s jr. All the portions were smaller than the other options in the area and the prices were more. I wondered if the owners had ever been to their competition. Everything was either okay or not so good. I felt like I was getting charged high prices for mediocre food only bc it was in blue ridge.

I made the unfortunate decision to go for barbecue for the first time in years, and to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I used to love picking up food here, but the quality and value have clearly decreased over the years. These portions are embarrassingly small, especially when items are forgotten (like the garlic toast). Beyond that, the food isn't nearly as good as it used to be, either; bland, oversalted, and dry.

I used to come here regularly, but I likely won't be returning. The money spent is just too much for food this poorly executed.
