Stopped in for lunch today after a rough and long morning and the food and service made my day! The food was flavorful and comforting, just what you want from a BBQ place.
We started with dessert, cause we needed the comfort and let me tell you… get the Banana Pudding!
The brisket nachos absolutely made my day— the brisket was tender and flavorful without being overdone. It had a great balance of textures and flavors.
We also tried the mac and cheese, and it was super creamy and rich, with just enough cheesiness to make it satisfying without feeling heavy. Definitely the perfect comfort Mac and Cheese after a long morning.
Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Especially impressed after learning they were short staffed when we arrived! Will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again.

My wife and I were passing through Blue Ridge and decided to stop at Carroll’s Barbecue. It was lunch time in a Saturday and was steady busy. Was sat right away and our drink & food order taken. Food came out fast, was fresh and was very good food! We will definitely come back here again when in town. Definitely recommend.

I was very impressed with everything I tried. The pulled pork, brisket, beans, mac n cheese, even the fried pickles were delicious! It’s a place I’d come back to if I found myself in Blue Ridge again.

Food is decent for the price. But what has happened to the service? No hello when walking in. No smiles. Like the customers are inconveniencing the staff and they don’t want to be there. Used to be a lot better.

Food was good…nothing to make me want to crave it and drive out of my way, but ok. Not a fan of the sauce options. Pork was tender, roll was delicious, sweet potato fries were good.
We were expecting a counter service restaurant by the pictures (including ones of the drink station and huge counter with registers), but were surprised when we walked in and they had a hostess. We ended up ordering to-go, but feel they have a great option of easily switching over to being a counter service restaurant and it would serve them well.
Carol’s barbecue is one of my absolute favorite places to get barbecue. Their food is always good and they have the best onion rings.
If you are in the Blue Ridge, Georgia area, this is an ABSOLUTE must place to eat. Their collard greens are damn good. This a BBQ restaurant that knows what they are doing.
I can’t believe I don’t have a single picture of our meals. But the food was terrific and our crowd of six ordered various dishes of pork, brisket and turkey. The sides were stellar. Our waitress was knowledgeable and charming. This place is on our very short list of places us two great cooks will go. And that cobbler… Do. Not. Skip.
Best Brunswick stew in the Western NC/North GA area! Brisket and pork has never disappointed either. Only improvement I could suggest is a hotter sauce than the “Hot & Spicy”
