After having had several bad meals at the more popular restaurants in town, we decided to check out the more local restaurants and were pleasantly surprised by Guagio. I did not have high expectations when my wife suggested this, but I was open to try it and glad we did. I had the Al Pastor Quesadilla, which was pretty basic. Once I added the table sauces to it, it was good. My wife had a chicken and avocado arepa which was delicious. The house salsa is very basic, tasting more...
My family loves to eat Latin style, food and Mexican food and we're over all big foodies. We've been to most all the restaurants around Blue Ridge. But for that Latin flavor definitely worth a visit. Taco pastor man that pork was just mouth-watering the chicken quesadilla my wife had was very tender and juicy. Their salsa has a great flavor to it. This may become one of our favorite places to go for that Latin flavor that just gives your taste buds that blast of umami
Awesome food and staff. Food was hot and full of flavor. The sauces were amazing too. Highly recommend the tequenos. My wife and i split the picada guigio platter and chicken arepa and it filled us up with leftovers.
