I built my own poke bowl. They have tofu, edamame and a variety of veggies to make it just how you like it. Staff were friendly and playing some solid synthwave/electro indie music. Cool place, nice vibe.
I will start off with saying that the service and staff were very nice and friendly. They told us about their speakeasy/bar (Sake Jon's) located in the back outside. The food, was okay and not your traditional poke bowl. I didn't like that you couldn't see what you were being served because it was covered. Most places allow you to see what's being served so you can better decide what toppings you'd like. I also found it odd that they use jasmine rice...
You know when you see something as distinctive as poke when visiting a smaller town, the owner is bringing the cuisine from a place of love and respect. They want to share this deliciousness with others. That is exactly what we experienced at Poke Jon's. The food was great, but it was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff that elevated the visit.
