I don’t even know where to begin on this review. We invited our friends (six of us with reservations in The Captains Quarters) and this was by far not only embarrassing but downright off the chart for any restaurant in Blue Ridge. Especially at the price point.
Matt, two of us were there previously when no one else was in the restaurant (literally we were the only two at your bar that day) and we sat and waited for 15 minutes with glasses empty because you were too busy talking to someone else. Eventually, we had
to ask for another round. Fast forward to our latest reservation: We sat down, drinks were ordered/ drinks came, you offered bread that never came. We asked you twice and still nothing. Attempt #3 and finally “a” roll was brought to the table the size of a hot dog bun for 6 people. The olive oil was rancid and inedible. Food took another 45 min - order came out all wrong, (we were with a friend with a food allergy and the meal had to be sent back because that very food was sitting in a mound on top of her burger,) the shrimp cocktail was warm, crab cakes cold, the food in general was not even mediocre, but thankfully our friends were great and made the best of it! The beer my husband ordered ran out, a meat dish ordered ran out… this entire experience a zero star if applicable. Things understandably happen in the restaurant biz; however, Matt, not once did you return to the table after the food was brought out or any other time thereafter to ask if we wanted anything else, not once. We were never offered dessert or so much as a coffee. Your service to us with a $600+ tab was an insult. Honestly, we will never be back again, nor will any of our guests. Just an fyi to whomever the woman was that working while we were there, it’s really sad when service is this bad to your guests, while you’re there sipping on a glass of wine. We tipped although no tip was deserved.
The restaurant was not busy to the point of this poor of service and the entire attitude we received was unprofessional and frankly, rude. Lost our business as well as 4 others. Blue Ridge and its locals and visitors deserve better.
ZERO STARS !

Great place to hang out with friends or to have a nice dinner. The bar area is great and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor dining option

No Oysters??!! Wrong sauce with Calamari, no Banana Peppers. Patty Melt with Velveeta Cheese Dinner Special, classy. $28 possibly Grouper Sandwich on stale bun. Clearly an operation nobody cares about any more. Never again, suggest a different option.

Food was way too expensive for what we got and the flavor was just ok and it took over an hour to get it.

Way over priced, small portions and no flavor. We had burgers, steak and crab cakes at our table. All bland, took an hour to get food. This is a place wanting to be fancy and charge fancy prices, but the food and service are no where close to a big end restaurant. Definitely not worth the time and money. Go elsewhere.

For an oyster bar to not have oysters, don’t know if that makes sense. Service was not bad, food was good. Live music was amazing!

The food was awful - tiny little scallops. And they added gratuity to the bill and didn’t tell us. Very disappointing. You expect a little more out of blue ridge. There is a restaurant scamming the local people
With awful food.

I was looking for ideas for dinner this weekend and Roe popped up-I totally forgot to review our experience around the 4th of July. In a word: DON'T. I wish I remembered our server's name- she was the ONLY highlight as she was personable and fun. She talked us off the ledge though in retrospect, I wish we had left. It took over an hour to get a seafood tower. Um... thought this was a seafood place, how did that make sense? No manager visit, no apology, nothing. Again, the server apologized repeatedly and managed to make light of the situation but damn... Was surprised when I went to the restroom at how hot it was inside. We were told the bar had no AC for weeks (what? July in GA?) Horrible! Food was meh, all overpriced. AMAZED they are still in business, very disappointed and can't believe a manager was even there because of how half-assed it all seemed.

Came in for an appetizer & a drink before dinner, the bartenders were so informative & helpful with suggestions as to what to do late night! A must sit!
Parking: Park on the street & walk down the cute alley!

Our server was amazing!
She was the only highlight of the dining experience.
The food was very salty.
We ordered the scallops with parmesan risotto.
The scallops were burned and the risotto was undercooked
The server went to the manager to have the food removed but the woman who was the manager never came to the table to check on us or
acknowledge the wrong doing of the cooks and their cooking methods.
As we walked out she didn't say a word, I just find it rude for the person in charge not to tend to a customer that was not satisfied.
Very bad customer service
But our server was great!!!

Interesting experience. We went on Halloween and sat outside. The prices at this restaurant are at the high end (~$50 per plate). Someone associated with the ownership let their kids run around our table and make noise. Some of the food was excellent (my ribeye) while some was below average or cold. The waitress was great, however the kitchen sent out the wrong meal for one person at our table and forgot one of our side dishes all together. When I'm spending $50 per plate, I expect an excellent experience. This wasn't it. But it was necessary bad. Maybe slightly above average.

Food was yummy, but overpriced. It also took an hour to get our food. It was my husband and I and that was it. 15+ min for our beverages. This was at 6:30pm. Not sure if they were low staffed or what. Not many people in the restaurant. Great ambiance and food!

The first two visits to R.O.E. were great and we recommended to many! Then we reserved for this past NYE, and it was a service disaster! Took 2 and 1/2 hours to get our food. We gave them another chance last eve, but it was our last visit. There were few tables filled, but each course took an inordinate amount of time to receive. The staff did seem busy, so we can only surmise it is a management issue. The food was only passable, and the server told us of several out of stock items.
