Delicious food!!!! Wonderful Bartender & staff! Did I mention Fried Chicken Sandwich with Pepper Jack, Crispy Bacon, Honey Mustard Slaw on a Toasted Brioche Bun! Excellent!!!
Pretty typical pub style food and was seasoned well. I had a burger and it was quite tasty. It wasn’t like one of those expensive burger shops where you left feeling like you paid for an overpriced piece of ground beef. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. Server was attentive and courteous. We will probably try a few other places before returning but that’s just because we were visiting the area. Otherwise, I would consider eating there again.
We came with high expectations based on our great experiences with other restaurants nearby but were disappointed. Our waitress didn’t know the menu and had a bad attitude, and another waiter asked, “What’s the problem?” when we only wanted to know if they had Bulleit bourbon and a Honey Bourbon Smash. The drinks we ordered were average at best, and the experience made us lose interest in ordering more or staying longer.
After my previous one-star review due to some issues with food, ambiance, and service, I’m happy to share that our recent visits to The Dogwood have been a complete turnaround. We’ve gone back twice, and both times the experience was a 100% improvement — the only minor downside of our second visit was the chairs, which are now extremely comfortable!
On a recent Friday evening, we were looking for a laid-back spot that wasn’t too busy, and our friends suggested returning to The Dogwood. I was initially dreading dinner because of the chairs, but I was thrilled to see they had replaced all the seating with very comfortable options, allowing our group to relax, visit, and chat longer.
The food and service were truly top-notch — plentiful, flavorful, and well-prepared. The sticky rib platter was finger-licking good! Our waitress was personable, engaging, and very attentive, making the whole experience enjoyable.
It’s great to see such a positive turnaround, and I’m happy to recommend The Dogwood now. We’ll definitely be returning!
Looks like it has potential. But pretty much out of everything. No Spinach and artichoke appetizer, no ribs. No napkins, no silverware. Unacceptable. How is there no ribs? I don’t recommend. Please work on updating your menu and mentioning to your customers that you are pretty much out of several items in your menu.
Didnt try the breakfast but the burgers are greasy and overpriced for what you get dont watse your money the table was about fall apart and honestly I have had a better burger at the drive-in down the street for half the money. If you order a drink they bring you a canned soda and charge you $3 for it I'll never go back. 2 burgers and. Canned drink cost me $45 without the tip
We visited this restaurant during our Fourth of July vacation with family, and it was a lovely experience. We sat on the outdoor patio, which had a great atmosphere. The waitress was very nice and polite—we felt genuinely welcomed from the start.
There was no wait time at all, and our drinks, appetizers, and meals were served much quicker than we expected. The portion sizes were quite generous—more than we could finish—but everything was delicious.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back again!
Every 4th of July it’s the same thing. Not enough staff. The people behind the bar are understaffed, taking orders & making drinks.
Owner is clueless. Last time I’m coming.
Went for the BOGO smash burgers, which are amazing. Service was great but my only complaint was that the draft beers are $12 per pint. Local that have been coming here for years and don’t ever remember paying that much for a pint of beer. That’s extortion and don’t think we’ll be coming back. Feels like we got played!
We spent almost everyday here on vacation!! Every single person that works there should be applauded. The customer service here it top notch. We had the pleasure of having keela many times as our server while staying in blue ridge and she makes the best espresso martini!!! Y’all! Get your big foot biscuits and get there early! The smash burgers are crazy good too. Thanks for making our trip filled with sweet people and yummy food!! Plus they loves doggy’s :)!!

We ate at the restaurant and was really disappointed. The burgers were super dry. The buns felt like they were left out all day. Burgers were so thin they just had no moisture left. Definitely wouldn't go back and waste of money.
So good !

We went for breakfast this morning & the food was great. But unfortunately our service wasn’t the best. Didn’t catch the guys name but he blew his nose right in front of us and didn’t wash his hands. Then he acted like he wasn’t paying attention as we ordered (we were the only ones at the counter). He didn’t write anything down which resulted in him getting my husband’s order wrong (he ordered biscuits and gravy but he rang it up as a butter biscuit so it was an easy fix we just asked for the gravy.) The guy wasn’t paying attention so the poor lady slaving over all the food in the kitchen had to bring us our food. He never brought us our coffee so my husband went up to the counter and said “hey man did you happen to make our coffee?” He rolled his eyes and then preceded to fill our cups with black coffee all the way to the brim leaving no room for creamer. Just odd, caught us off guard. Maybe he was having a bad day but just came off as lazy and rude. Like working was an inconvenience for him.

Small fun bar with a great patio!
Honestly never been here before. Had breakfast but the chicken was over cooked almost burnt and had no flavor. Will not return
