As a restaurant tour myself, it’s very refreshing to find a place that puts so much passion into their food. This place does just that. If you have not been here and you’re passing by or in the area make sure you stop by and get at least one tasty treat and a cup of coffee or espresso or cappuccino.

When it comes to peanut butter deserts, I am a snob. I know it and own it. A few years ago, I found the world’s best peanut butter pie. Today, I found the world’s best peanut butter cookie. Soft and crunchy. Huge peanut butter flavor. If you go to Blue Ridge and don’t get this cookie, you might as well stay in the car.

I didn’t get pics of their plain cheesecake, but it is one of the best I’ve had in a long time!!!! Also, their tiramisu (in pics) was delicious!!!! We’ll def be going back for more!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Sweet Shoppe of the South when ordering a birthday cake for my mom’s 90th birthday. Our extended family had gathered in nearby Ellijay to celebrate this milestone, and we asked locals for the best place to order a cake. Sweet Shoppe came highly recommended! Ordering by phone was straightforward and easy, even with our short lead time. We picked the cake up the next day. This cake was gorgeous and delicious… and it truly brought the wow factor to my mom’s birthday celebration. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I live in Blue Ridge and quit going here several years ago as I noticed that all yellow cupscakes and all chocolate tasted the same. This weekend family was visiting and the place we lunched at was out of dessert so one family member suggested the sweet shop. One of the cup cakes was stale and had no flavor except yellow cake favor. The icing bore no resemblance to the lemon raspberry flavor. The other was key lime pie. There was nothing in the cupcake or frosting that said key lime. Save your money and don't bother. For their prices they need to step to the plate or close shop everything should reflect the true natural flavors they advertise but they don't. They're trading on a years long ago cupcake wars win on Food Network. Save your money or hold them accountable
The Food Network winner sign drew us in. We were not disappointed! My Black & White Tuxedo Cupcake was absolutely delectable. The cake was so moist & tender with the most perfect frosting & hidden filling. The staff was so charming. An absolute must stop in any Blue Ridge visit.

I contacted The Sweet Shoppe 2 days before my impromptu wedding. I had 2 quickly googled inspiration photos and THEY created this beautiful cake. The thing is, it tastes even better than it looks! I’m honestly not a cake girl, more into cookies, but this is slap your mama amazing!!! Vanilla cake, buttercream frosting— seems simple but THIS CAKE!!!! I’m so addicted that I go in and order a small one each visit just to feed the addiction. It’s the most amazing vanilla I’ve ever had and the frosting- not too sweet, but full of flavor.
Do yourself a favor— trust me— go try it! I’ve also had the macarons and a coffee— delish! The BEST!
