Get place off the beaten path and next to the river. Arrive and food were amazing. Low country boil is great.
Max was our server and he did a fantastic job taking care of us. We had the sirloin and the trout. Portions were large for the price. The food was good quality, too! We would definitely return.
I ordered the crabcake appetizer and they were cold and not crispy on the top like they should be when I ask about them making it right he took them away and came back to the table with the same crabcakes and they were the same and he he stated that’s just the way we make them. I ordered a side salad, which was very small and cost $4.50. There may have been $.25 worth of ingredients in it. The baked potato was old and cost six dollars and a half. Insane - when I asked about the bill, he said well I doubt the manager will take off the crabcakes I said yes he will. I’m not eating them and I’m not paying for them and thankfully, they took it off. The view was beautiful but The place had a terrible smell, and the tables were super sticky
My shrimp tacos and grits were good. However, other family members received very small portions for their sides and their fish portions were very thin. I ordered the crab mushrooms ( got 5 small ones for 14.00). Would not go back. The waitress and service were good, but that does not make up for the overpriced menu.
Love to sit and watch the river flowing by. Servers are courteous. Food is always good.
Beautiful views, excellent trout, it can get quite busy there, and parking can be difficult, but the sacrifice of parking and sometimes waiting is well worth it. It’s a little oasis in the mountains on the river. And if you have a dog they do have a “pooch porch” where your furry friend and done with you.
Stopped in while visiting Blue Ridge and we really enjoyed this restaurant. We ordered fried green tomatoes and fried pickles as our appetizers. I ordered the blackened trout with a house salad, collard greens, and smoked Gouda grits. It was all amazing, especially the trout! My wife ordered the sirloin with a Cesar salad, green beans, and fries. Hers was good, but we did agree the steak was over cooked and under seasoned however I’m still going to give 5 stars because everything else was so good. We would definitely eat here again on our next visit to the mountains.
Beautiful riverside, good food, and got seated right away. Parking was hard to find.
This was our first visit to the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant - many more to come. The food, service, and atmosphere were awesome (unfortunately it was raining so we were not able to enjoy the restaurant from the deck). The place looks small from the front, but when you walk through your door, it opens up to a large facility - so don't let the cars in front discourage you - there is plenty of room. Definitely go for the trout. All are good, but my favorite was the blackened.

This is about as peaceful a place to eat I've ever been. The food was incredible, I had the trout sampler which came with lemon pepper, blackened and pecan crusted options and my Wife had their Crab stuffed shrimp.

Ok, I have eaten here for many years because I am a local. Always great food.
I have to say hats off to the “kitchen” and the waiters on our last visit. We walked in with a table of 27 that I think that turned I to over 35 by the end.
Three people in the group owned a restaurant in their Career. We expect the kitchen to take a hour plus to cook and plate the food.
About 15 minutes later food came ou, kids first and, by the cook time after that, within 30 mins we all had food. We told the staff to bring it as ready, kids first. They did just that.
Great job kitchen. Y’all made it happen!!! Y’all Took a very sad day and made all the families have a better day.
And all the food was amazing.

Cute place my husband has been wanting to try!! We had great service and the food was delicious! He got the rainbow trout dinner for $25. His plate looked a little sad compared to the rest of ours and what the other reviews show. The place is adorable though, right on the river! We will be back! My grilled cheese was amazing! One thing to note is if you have mobility issues, to eat riverside you must walk down stairs to the 3rd level.
Parking: It's very hard to get a spot. Most cars pull off the side of the road.

The rainbow river trout is their signature and best dish. I always get it pecan crusted then save room for the cobbler. Sitting down by the river is the best location to eat. The second is on the outside porch. No reservations taken.
Parking: When busy you might have to park down the road.
