Umami Tavern - Braselton

This is one of my favorite places to eat. It never disappoints. Fresh and tasty! Great packaging when getting delivery!

This place is quickly becoming my lunch go to while at work. Everything I have ordered for lunch carry away has been made quick and tasted delicious. I typically get the 3 sushi roll lunch combo that comes with soup and ginger salad for only $15! Such an amazing deal for such wonderful food and so much! I always have leftover to take home for a snack this evening. Next time I think I’m going to try something different besides sushi and test their menu further. Keep it up Umami Braselton! You’re doing wonderful

I didn't read the reviews first. I was told about this place from a friend who had not been here yet. I thought this was a hibachi restaurant, so walking in i was a little surprised!
I ordered the steak and shrimp lunch hibachi. The soup had a little different flavor that I didn't care for. Unfortunately I'm not sure what it was. The steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly! The rice had good flavor but was crunchy (not sure if it was supposed to be! )
The ginger sauce was light and very good! I believe the shrimp and steak were cooked in it.
$43 before tip for hibachi style lunch for 2 people.
We will be back!

Ex: What’s $21 on the menu is $27 on their website for online ordering!

I guess I’ll go to The HAUS on Winder highway instead (the HAUS Poke bowl is far superior, if that’s your favorite).

1/2 star off (which I cannot actually do) for petty charges for TO GO sauces and salad dressing. But the food is excellent here (skip the Poke bowl).
The sushi is excellent. The salmon bento box is amazing.
The sushi, nigiri and sashimi are excellent - as the quality is very good!
It is a clean, smaller place with booths and tables. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’d like sushi, bento and hibachi food.

The menu states that they have vegan ramen but heads up that includes an egg so it is a vegetarian ramen not vegan ramen. They also could not confirm of the noodles were made with egg either.

First time here. Service was impeccable. Server was very sweet and patient. The California rolls was just ok. I've had better. It was missing something. The vegan ramen was pretty tasty. Restroom was really clean and that says alot about this establishment. We will be back

TERRIBLE if you have an issue they wont fix they’ll just make you order a whole new meal. The food isn’t even that good and the portions are half portions I recommend you just go somewhere else
