Umami Tavern - Japanese Fusion

Second time here. The first visit we ordered Sushi and enjoyed it. Today ordered Ramen and what a HUGE mistake. I’m not that be picky but this ramen was tasteless. I had to add chili oil, salt and soy sauce to see if it would taste better. (Yes soy sauce, nothing else there) I was really disappointed with their ramen. Also the meat was very rubbery, they give you 1/2 an egg. Just not worth the price at all. Not even free.

The sushi is always fresh, the other food options are great, and the service is always fast. Amazing lunch specials. They are very kid-friendly and always make sure we have a good experience. Highly recommend!

Their sashimi quality is great, but I was disappointed with the sushi. Normally, I’m not a fan of sashimi but love sushi because of the sweet and tangy rice that balances perfectly with the fish. That harmony is what makes sushi special to me, even though I don’t enjoy sashimi on its own. However, their sushi rice was just plain rice with a hint of vinegar, which didn’t taste good at all.
I gave them 3 stars because the quality of the fish itself was good, along with the service.

Got carry out, Bento box. Really enough for 2 but got two meals out of the whole thing. Easy to place order and service at pick up was excellent. Food is delicious and value for money well worth it!

Here for the food and the lovely Host Grace and awesome waitress Lily (Aka Jenny Craig). The food was great, I haven't had sushi for years. The spring rolls were freshly made, not one much for springs rolls but they weren't that bad. All the sushi was tasty. And the calamari was pretty tasty and crisp.
Good food reasonable priced go have a good time and don't forget to tip!

Quaint little place with surprisingly good sashimi and assortment of sakes a both cold and hot. I will definitely be back.

My wife and I went here after a racing event at Road Atlanta. We were starving & were looking for something delicious. This place certainly did NOT disappoint!! The sushi was absolutely amazing. Fresh ingredients and very high quality fish. Staff is friendly and informative. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Stopped in for a late lunch and both food & service were top notch. My husband chose a pork ramen bowl while I opted for the pick 3 lunch sushi. Everything tasted fresh and was just perfect all the way around. I particularly liked the ginger dressing on the salad. The menu is extensive, so even the pickiest eater should find something here.
