Simply delicious! Such nice, helpful folks working here, too. Obviously a small town favorite spot with a flurry of customers coming and going and gathering for lunch. The smokehouse out back says this place is legit! I ordered the BBQ sandwich lunch special which comes with a drink and side. The sandwich was heaping with smoked pork, and the fried okra was crunchy goodness. My half sweet/half unsweetened tea was fresh brewed in house and very good. The half rack of ribs were moist, smokey and tasty. Choose between several sauces to accompany your BBQ. I'll certainly return when in the area again!

We used Uncle Shugs to cater our sons wedding. Still getting compliments on the food from locals, California, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, New York and Illinois. My Wisconsin native mother said the chicken was as close to "broasted" as she's ever tasted.

Full rack of ribs(got 6 little ribs) fried pickles(grease dripping from them and not completely fried and 1/2 pound of BBQ was so dry. $45!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous and will never go back. Very very disappointed!
Great bunch of kids and mgr was great. Was impressed with there professionalism dealing with a crazy drunk mean customer. Great job you all ❤️

I am giving Uncle Shug's a 4-Star review for only one item--Pulled Pork BBQ. I'm a Texan and a Barbecue Judge. Georgia barbecue cafes, joints or restaurants usually do a good job with pork. Other than Fox Brothers in Atlanta, beef brisket is best passed on.The same goes for sausage. Chicken is a little better than acceptable.Uncle Shug's does pulled pork rather well. The side items are passable. Their sauces are pretty good. The facility is neat and clean, the ambiance is rustic and the service is okay. Their prices are reasonable and competitive.This is not a restaurant that I go to often. But, when I do, I am usually satisfied.
