Big Island Tropical Kitchen is an excellent restaurant with incredible food and top notch, wonderful service. The environment is clean. Many customers, including first-time visitors and those passing through, found it a great choice and highly recommend it. The staff is very helpful, super kind, and provides free samples of the different entrees and meats to help decide.

The food is delicious, fresh, flavorful, and feels like solid home cooked food. Specific praised dishes include the oxtail, described as incredible, very meaty, tender, and full of flavor. The grilled chicken is the juiciest ever eaten, the shrimp is great, and the plantains are great and to die for. The rice and sides are also good. The price is great and not very expensive for the amount of quality food, with plates easily providing multiple meals. A three entree plate costs around fifteen dollars and is overflowing. Customers are very happy, would definitely come back again, and can't recommend this place enough.
