The food is good! The customer service is even better. Sade made my day. A lil Parmesan cheese goes a long way. I had a flaky chicken friand, tomato soup, strawberries and sausage and bacon on the side to crumble over my soup. I had never eaten here before but it’s definitely on my favorite list.

I usually come here on Sundays for brunch and always have a great experience, but this time was completely different. We arrived at 8:20 PM and were told by Emily that they didn’t have Quiche available because they were about to close and it would take 25 minutes. That didn’t make much sense to me — they close at 9 PM, so there was still plenty of time to accommodate the order.
What made it worse was Emily’s attitude. She came off as rude and dismissive, which is disappointing considering how friendly and accommodating the staff usually are. Because of the poor customer service, my family and I decided to take our business elsewhere. Unfortunately, this visit left a bad impression, and I hope management addresses it so others don’t have the same experience

I came here yesterday to eat with my boyfriend and everything was great, other than the rotten shrimp. I had the pesto pasta with shrimp and it tasted like ammonia. I immediately felt sick to my stomach and I am still feeling awful from it the next day. I let the manager know and he seemed shocked but didn’t offer a refund or anything other than asking if I wanted them to remake it with the same rotten shrimp. Definitely wasn’t handled well and I would advise everyone to stay away from the shrimp here.

The food and atmosphere at La Madeleine in Buford are consistently wonderful—fresh, flavorful dishes in a cozy, French-inspired setting that’s great for a casual breakfast or lunch. Unfortunately, the service tends to be hit or miss. While a few staff members have been incredibly helpful and kind, the overall experience is often hampered by inefficient service and a lack of attentiveness. Still worth a visit for the food and ambiance, just don’t expect a seamless service experience every time.
We had a fantastic experience here. The manager Elijah was welcoming and helped us with our first time experience and Esther gave us great service and was so helpful. We will be back!

We had a rough start to our Sunday morning after a tree from our property unexpectedly fell, leaving us stressed and overwhelmed. Thankfully, we decided to stop for breakfast here—and what a difference it made. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was fast and attentive, and the manager personally took care of us with such kindness and attention to detail. It truly turned our day around. We left not only full but also calm and comforted. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Came in for dinner tonight and was met 10 minutes in with the most god awful burnt smell through the entire restaurant. They said it was from the burners and that soup had been the smell burning. I went up and ended up getting our food Togo because the smell was so bad I couldn’t sit here and eat. Had to go home and rewarm our food up instead of having it fresh which was disappointing.

TISH is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a manager. The food at this place is amazing, but unfortunately, it doesn’t function properly with her in charge. We placed a takeout order, and they gave us the wrong items. We had to drive all the way back from home to the restaurant.
We showed her the receipt and the food we had received — she didn’t even apologize and had a terrible attitude. We waited another 15 minutes for the correct order, so I asked her how much longer it was going to take. With a nasty attitude, she responded: “I don’t know, we’re busy.”
As if it were my fault that they got the order wrong. I told her I just needed an estimated time, and again she said, “I’m the manager, and I don’t know.” I told her that’s not how a manager should act — especially when the mistake was on their end.
Worst attitude ever. Customer Service: 0. I used to love this place, but with her there, I will never go back.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. We ended up waiting a total of one hour, left with a bag of cold food, and experienced the worst customer service ever.
