I always order takeout from here and it’s always wrong. There’s always only 1 person working and it seems like they can’t ever hire more people. They seemed to have rebranded a few months ago and I thought they were doing better, but we came in the other day and all hibachi tables were full and there was only one guy serving again. Plus we wanted to just sit at a regular table and they never came to sit us so we left. I love hibachi and this place so it sucks to see it going down the drain. Do better.
The guy that WAS [key word is WAS] going to wait on us was SO rude. He was very displeased that we brought our children to eat in his restaurant. We took our kids to the bathroom to begin with and he wanted proof that we washed their hands. Our response was “your bathroom has no paper towels and it’s dirty.” We went to order and he complained that we were not ordering every one of our kids a full plate. They’re young and can’t eat that much so they share. The high chair he brought was broken and when we asked if he had one not broken, he complained. TERRIBLE experience and after he complained about the high chair we told him to cancel the order and we left.
Going away party for my son heading to college. Everyone had a good time. The service was excellent. Our cook was very good and made our food without putting on a big show since we were all engaged in conversation, which was greatly appreciated. All of the food was prepared to perfection. This location is highly recommended!
Me and my family will never eat here again. Terrible service and we always order the same thing but for some reason this time our bill was 40$ more than it has ever been. Not to mention our server quit before our meals were even cooked and we sat without a drink refill for over 20 min and still got charged a ridiculous amount and 18$ gratuity. Never again this place has gone to crap!
Worst restaurant in Carrollton. The owner is the rudest guy in the world and I see why the business is failing and it’s completely empty at dinner rush. We ordered a to go order and the order was completely wrong. And to top it off, the soup had hair floating in it. Maybe they will go out of business soon.
We ordered take out tonight and spent over $70 and we got half a lobster tale, scallops cut into little pieces, filet mignon was tiny and tasteless. Soup was thick water with a taste of burnt. Rice was dry. Yum yum sauce is ok. My husband was so excited to get me food (because I’m sick) and now he had disappointment all over his face. I should’ve read the reviews first!

They have the best ginger dressing on their salads. The hibachi is freshly cooked and delicious. Friendly and great service as well.

This place has gone DOWNHILL!
NASTY atmosphere!
Sticky floors.
Doors looked like haven’t been cleaned in years.
Bathrooms old. Plus you walk right by the kitchen and it looks nasty in there too.
Food:
Soup tastes like hot water
Hard rice.
The service seems greedy bc why is it 1 worker and 2 cooks?! He runs around crazy when he could hire more people.

The food I had was absolutely disgusting. The onion soup tastes like water, the lobster and shrimp was as hard as rocks. I know the economy is bad, but they are too expensive. My wife had Shrimp and rice and I had lobster and rice. Not recommended at all. It also made both of us sick.

I ordered chicken and salmon and I’m allergic to shrimp. I specifically asked the young lady what was in each thing. What’s in the fried rice? What’s in the vegetables? OK I specifically told her I wanted chicken and salmon. I get home and I open up my plate and it has shrimp up there. I’m talking to the owner and I’m trying to explain to him customer service wise OK if I specifically ask for salmon and chicken and you know you’re entrées come with shrimp and I’m not looking at a menu because I know what I want already OK and I’ve eaten at Other hibachi spots other Japanese steak houses at other spots that they offer if they know that shrimp is in their entrée, they will let you know it comes with shrimp OK so that the person can say I’m allergic to shrimp and other places don’t offer shrimp not unless you want it OK if I specifically asked for chicken and salmon that means I did not want shrimp if it came with shrimp i should have been told if that entrée comes with shrimp then it need to be said oh it comes with shrimp. Do you want to shrimp or not I should’ve said something far as allergies yes I’m guilty but I’m ordering takeout. I specifically asked for certain things like chicken and salmon. That was all I wanted OK I’m not looking at a menu and I’m specifying saying what I want and what I don’t want OK so good customer service for someone that’s coming in in for the first time you should explain your menu. OK both parties should be responsible. Maybe I shouldn’t mention shrimp. No, I was not thinking about shrimp but if I specifically asked for a dish and you know that entrée comes with shrimp then it should’ve been mentioned. OK so yeah get zero from me and your food is little the Chinese restaurant next-door probably serve more food and the place inside looks creepy. so Kobe please I would never order there again at this place.

The Food was good. Chief cooked and entertained kids at the table while cooking as hoped for.
Only thing I noticed was the bathroom felt dark and dirty and could be cleaned and fixed up to be more comfortable to use for guest.

Absolutely terrible. Just spent $103 on sushi and a hibachi meal and it was the most underseasoned, sloppy and disgusting meal I've ever had. Hot things were cold, cold things were hot, the raw fish was questionable, everything seemed old. I ordered 5 different rolls all of which fell apart, had a mushy texture, and tasted the same despite having different ingredients. The hibachi meal was supposed to be medium rare steak, instead it was hacked up chunks of unseasoned well done meat. The vegetables weren't even edible, raw and bland. We threw half of it away because it was so bad and not even worth eating. So disappointing and frustrating that I paid a premium price for a meal that was no better than gas station food. Will never be back and will never recommend to anyone.
Joe always makes each visit wonderful.

Tonight was the last night I will ever spend my money at Kobe. This wasn’t the first time the service and food were terrible but it will be the last for us. When you spend $28.99 for filet and scallops you would expect to have more than 2 baby scallops cut into 1/4. The person checking us out was rude and as always acted as if our business was an inconvenience. I would NOT EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The owners obviously have a problem with not hiring enough people or outright just not caring about their business. I type this while waiting for my food for the past hour. This is absolutely pathetic and the owners should start caring for their costumers or they will lose all business.
