So old I was told once, the use to separate the different races of people from each other. Of course, that would have been 50 years ago. Only to show really how old this place is. Not many restaurants can say this. Nor stay a float that long, in business. That alone says everything you needed to know about their food and service.Truly a landmark of Cartersville GA.

In their defense, we were looking for breakfast. Arrived at 10:30 to find out breakfast ended at 10. Menu was very small, and prices were cheap, so opted for what everyone else seemed to be enjoying, chili dogs. Nothing special. Seemed to be just meat and beans in an oily liquid. Made for a soggy experience. Fork and knife needed. Wasn’t bad, but not something I’d go back for. Wife opted for a chicken sandwich. Expected a chicken breast, got a frozen pressed meat patty. Once again, edible, but not something you go back for.

good, simple, reasonable local food served by people who really care. The only seating is at the counter, and that is 10 stools or less. I love these little hyper local restaurants.
Definitely a memorable visit. The burgers tasted good. Definitely something you would expect to get at a potluck in someone’s back yard. The ladies working were hilarious, one of them definitely hated us for some reason, the other was nice but told my friend to not order the chicken sandwich and then alluded to shooting us. The “yall ain’t from around here are ya?” Really set the mood when we sat down. Anyway, after a long day of traveling and finding this literal hole in the wall, it was funny and enjoyable (in a scary kinda way) I would definitely go back just to see what happens next. Definitely think the servsafe certification on the wall is a fake though. LOL

I used to love eating here all the time. However, the last two times I stopped in, last time 1.5 hours before closing time and this time an hour, they were out of burgers. When ALL you sell is hamburgers and hotdogs, you can’t run out or people stop coming. Or here’s an idea, cook a burger fresh. You are a restaurant, after all.
