Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We love Cracker Barrel and the food never disappoints but we had a bad experience at the Cartersville Georgia store the other day. No wait - seated right away - but sat for 20 + minutes before our waitress took our drink or food order. She passed us several times and picked up dirty dishes off one table and brought other items to tables around us. She was not friendly at all and even less friendly when I held up my hand and asked if she was coming back. Finally took our order but it took a long time for food to come. Luckily we were not on a rush. There were 3 of us and we were there over an hour and a half. March 31,2025

Always solid food and service from cracker barrel. Very consistent. BEST pancakes anywhere (Exception: Tuscaloosa location)

We did an overnight in our Airstream at this Crackerbarrel parking lot, then had a wonderful breakfast before heading to our final destination!

Freezing cold, in dining, breakfast took over half hour and the dust in the ceiling is terrible.

We had a negative experience @ a Cracker Barrel in FL, but a few weeks later, in TN, decided to try another one. What a disappointment! The new rice side dish was dry, bland, hard kernels! The hash brown casserole was dry & overbaked, but the worst was the biscuits & corn muffins! SO hard that you could hardly cut them w/a knife & plinked when they fell on the plate…...reheated way too many times & we weren’t there on an “off” hour!
Cracker Barrel needs to quit trying to reinvent their menu & just get their food right…like it used to be!
It will be a LONG time before we risk another “less than mediocre” meal @ Cracker Barrel!

The meatloaf was a bit dry and the biscuits and cornbread was stale. Very surprised because the food is usually very good.

The past 3 times that we have dined inside, the food has been dry and cold. I gave it another shot and took my friend Linda. I got lemon trout fish, pintos, and Mac n cheese. Linda got chicken n dumplings and hashbrown casserole. Fish was warm and dry, pintos had no juice, and Mac n cheese was so cold. Lindas dumplings were so dry that they would not come off the spoon. We then got dessert . Linda had the strawberry ice box dessert and I got coca cola cake. The icing wand ice cream was good. Cake was extremely dry and the strawberry pie was delicious.
I love Cracker Barrell and we normally eat there 3xs weekly. I haven't came in this week cause I can't continue to waste my money. The waitress tried her best for us to get something else so we wouldn't tell the manager. She was afraid of loosing her job and we don't want that to happen. Cracker Barrell- what has happened to your food?!?!

Waitress was very sweet - the guy that dished up food - got the order wrong. But she took good care of us and corrected it. I think he was in training, so we do understand 🙂
