I'm originally from California, and finding a good Mexican place to eat here in Georgia is HARD! I'm mexican and have eaten the best of the best and let me tell you. This place is the BEST OVERALL! The owner is always present and welcoming. The food! It is as close to the best I've had starting from the flavors in the meats, tortillas that don't taste like cardboard good guacamole. This is the only place I'd go to near home hand down. All those other places that say they're Mexican taste horrible, and if you see reviews, they're mainly from "white people." lol Don't worry, my husband is all white American. But I can only say what the pallet for real true Mexican food is, and it's here.

Came by because reviews seemed good. Cheese dip came out cold and never got chips replinished. Waitress only came by once while we waited. Waited an hour to get the food and it was not what we ordered but it took so long to get it we just ate it anyway.

Great family owned place. Clean, friendly and fantastic food. Best Margarita in town. Get you in and out quickly at lunch but also let you relax and enjoy if you prefer. A must when in Cartersville.

What a great surprise El Charro ended up being! We stopped in late last night for dinner and loved everything! The margaritas, cheese dip, and steak chimichangas were all bursting with flavor. The service was great too! I highly recommend it.
