I got catfish, greens and Brunswick stew. It was delicious! He got brisket, mac&cheese baked beans& banana pudding. The brisket was burnt and dry. Mac and cheese dry and no taste. Baked beans ok. The banana pudding was the worst- no bananas only banana pudding- a few wafers and some Whipped cream. I’ve had better at truck stops very disappointing, it was very basic and nothing I would ever get again! I can make that banana pudding on the truck easily. There was nothing homemade about that pudding just straight from a box into a plastic container! The place was great. The food average.

We stop for gas on our way back to Ohio. I said tovmy family let's eat there because a sign like we like pig butts have to be darn good! Well the ribs were burnt and dry and freaking old, greens to sweet but the orka was delicious, I am a registered nurse and my husband is a doctor, we will tell all our colleagues to stay clear of that place, the young girl who took our order was very nasty to us,like she didn't want to be there, I love good food but this place is no good food!! I recently visited Fire It Up BBQ and was thoroughly impressed! The smoked meats—especially the brisket and pulled pork—were full of flavor, perfectly seasoned and tender. I also loved the sides: the mac and cheese and the smoked-beans had real depth, and the variety of sauces let me tailor every bite.
The atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, the staff friendly, and service was prompt even though the place seemed busy. The portions were generous and excellent value for what you get.
If you’re in Cartersville and craving real Southern-style BBQ, this place delivers. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be coming back!
